No, Death Rally is an excellent single-player experience with a level-up and upgrade system. It's an intense combat racer and has already seen 2 content updates in 2 weeks. Multiplayer is coming very soon, and there will be another content update possibly this week.

There's more than enough impressions/reviews around here on TA including on the frontpage about S&S. Hodapp has written an extremely lengthy review on it that should give you a good idea of what the game is about. Let's just say it's an iOS experience on par with Dead Space.

No, I have not tried the other two. I'm not the biggest fan of retro games, and I've never even heard of the Indian game.

It's more of an experience. You sorta explore the world while solving problems and performing skills and magic. One of the shining points of the game is the sound which probably has the BEST gameplay music on the iOS EVER! And I am NOT exaggerating. It is absolutely a MUST HAVE!

Rofl crex, you said S&S was GOTY in the main thread.

Hm, my top 5 so far this year are probably NBA Jam, Dead Space, World of Goo, S&S, StarFront. At least that's what I think my top 5 is from the top of my head. Probably missed something.

No, it's an experience game. At its core, I guess it's a point and click adventure.

haha. Well, I consider it sorta in both categories. Its GOTY and EOTY! :D

Sorta. A mix between puzzle, adventure, retro, point and click, and music game.

Lite version was just released today. Try it out. If you really liked it and know you're going to play it death, definitely grab the CE. If not, and you just want to play some more, get the SE. Hated the game personally after buying the CE on day one, but that's just me xD. It's a very stratified game as far as the people who like it and don't like are concerned. But yeah, check out the lite if you haven't.

I went with the Collector's Edition. If you've played the free version and like it the Collector's Edition is more economical in the long run provided you'll like the game. Plug I hate IAP (even though I know IAP is a fair marketing gimmick).

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Seeing as I just got a $15 card, I started looking around the App Store and found a few games I was wondering about:

Resident Evil Mercenaries - I enjoyed the other two Resident Evil games on the iPhone and at the intro price of 3 bucks it didn't seem too bad.

Scream 4 - As much as I think the movies suck, this actually looked pretty fun. For a dollar, playing as the killer in a horror (sorta) movie seems like fun, especially for a dollar.

Rock Band Reloaded - I liked the first one a lot, and at $3 it seems like a worthy improvement. Plus I'm pretty sure at least one of the DLC packs had A Day to Remember somewhere in it.

Otherwise I'm considering getting an extra buck and buying Final Fantasy III, but it seems a bit ridiculous of a price considering I saw it on the DS at gamestop for $10

Any other recommendations? I got Sword and Sworcery the second I saw that it was out, so dont worry about that one.

Which is the better Sims 3 game: Sims 3 or Sims 3 Ambitions? Wonder which one I should get.

Ok i would definitely skip Resident Evil because i can never get one match up on the game. I have like one of the best modems but it still barely gets one match up. For a mostly multiplayer game its not worth it.

Scream 4 seems like its worth it for one dollar considering the mixed reviews.

Rock Band Reloaded has a lot of gameplay time and if you like the console version you should like this.

I also just got a 15 dollar giftcard and since i had one dollar on my account am considering final fantasy three. I have loved the series for a while and figured it would be cool to have it on my ipod. Also the ipod version has way better graphics than the ds version and plays better with the controls. It is definitly a aquired taste if you like the previous games you should consider this one. Also it has a lot of replayability with the job system.:)
    Hope this helps!!
