Not exactly, no. It's more of a pick up and play game. If you're expecting a long, story driven RPG, this definitely isn't it. I'd go with something else for now. Lightning Fighter is a great choice if you don't want to buy the CAVE Shooters. Another awesome bullet hell game for a dollar is Phoenix if you don't have it. As far as this week's releases go, REMV, A.I.R. D, and Color Collider take 2nd-4th place for me. They're all pretty good games from what I've played. Asphalt 6 is definitely a great buy for a dollar right now You listed AO twice lol..it's crap in any case. I'd pass on RUA as well. There's better endless runners out there, like Monster Dash and Canabalt.
Indeed it did. Death Rally puts a great deal of its focus on combat, aka destroying other vehicles. It's much more of a single player experience with its "campaign" mode incorporating leveling up, upgrading, and customizing of your vehicle. It'll take 7-10 hours to unlock everything in the game. There's no multiplayer mode yet, but like I said, it's a great single player experience. The controls are definitely interesting and will take some getting used to, but you'll find them quite intuitive with time. The physics feel a lot better than in constant drifting in RR. It's a great game for the price man, and no doubt, the best top down racer.
alright... well then, phoenix or lightning fighter? and I'm seriously considering AO.... I freaking love the youtube vids
Level based vs survival based, respectively. Get one or the other based on which you'd rather play. That might be the thing. I never heard of the videos before, so from an outsider's view, the game is just downright silly to play. You might like it though.
I'll get Lightning fighter... better reviews + no IAP (I've got nothing against IAP, it just feels less complete)
Alright man. For anyone who hasn't picked up Coconut Dodge yet, I'd advise against it. The game, first of all, really isn't all that great. To make matters worse, the only leaderboards that the game comes with is through Facebook..there aren't even local scores. It's completely based on scores, and with no leaderboards...yeah. Deleting this one for now. Consequently, this was probably the worst of yesterday's "notable" releases.

I just picked up ESP II, asphalt 6 and Air Penguin. ESP II is really awesome. I bought Lightning fighter last week it doesnt really even come close to ESP II. Really theres no reason to buy any other shmup bullet-hell game. Now im debating whether or not to get Gemcraft. Its getting some good reviews.
If you at all dabble in strategy games then Knights of the Phantom Castleis a must own at it's sale price of $0.99. Earlier someone asked about Legendary Wars, I advise you pass on that and get this instead.
Wow picked up lightning fighter and its incredible! Reminds me of Raiden( Rai den translates to lightning and thunder in japenese.) Hope more ships are added! Great game and a must buy at the price! Also has gamecenter!!!
Lol it's funny how our opinions on games are never the same. I tried KPC after playing Battleheart, and it feels like Battleheart is every bit of the game KPC wishes to be. KPC has controls that just aren't comfortable/suitable for a RTS based game.
I like to consider you the anti-undeadcow. The controls in Knights of the Phantom Castle do take some adjustment. You should give it another spin because it's well worth the curve. Battleheart is a more polished game.
Rofl, what a name that is. Alright man, redownloading to iTunes. Might as well try it again sometime I guess.
Splatterhouse is not the best platformer and is pretty dated. If you're into nostalgic arcade games or gory horror fare then it might be worth a go but there are more polished games of a similar style. I've enjoyed it but make sure you know what you're getting (an 80s arcade port). If you look up reviews of Splatterhouse they will pan the controls but those have been greatly increased with this weeks update.
