I'm wondering the same thing. If it goes thru, it wouldn't make sense to buy the iPhone-only version, if the HD one is universal and has been at $0.99 before twice...
The devs said that World of Goo for iPhone will come in an universal version. iPhone owners will get this for 99 cents and iPad owners will get the iPhone version for free as a Unversal gift today is the day!!!
Yes but if we get the universal iphone version for 99 cents which will later go up to 2.99, wouldn't that mean the ipad's version would drop from 4.99 to 2.99 if there was only 1 universal game . They said that Ipad owners will get it for free but when you update it to become universal, you don't have to say it's for free . But if it remains at 4.99 then how can it be at 0.99 unless it was another version ? I'm confusing myself here -.-
Same, what's the point of having an "iPhone" universal version and an "iPad" universal version? Or am I totally misunderstanding something? Like others have said, I guess we'll see pretty soon.

From my understanding: They felt that they overcharged for the iPad version, so they will be making the iPad version universal to say that they're sorry for overcharging. The iPhone version will just be the iPhone version, not universal. So for people thinking that they're just gonna wait for the universal one to go down to $0.99, maybe it's never gonna happen again.
That could be true, but you can never be 100% sure with the App Store economy. What I'm surprised is that the iPad version has not made it to top 200 global top paid apps, maybe with the universal change it will.
From what you've said , basically if the ipad goes universal while the iphone remains solely for the iphone then wouldn't there be 2 iphone versions of WoG ? I've never seen that before . And besides , I'd rather pay for the universal one . That's what I've been wondering . If the iphone's version they released is universal = the same one that the ipad's version has been updated with then it's price will drop from 4.99 to 2.99 because that's what they said they're gona sell the iphone's version for .
I think it's just an iphone version that isnt universal and the ipad version becomes universal. So there wil be two options for iphone users: universal and non-universal and only a univeral for ipad users. This is the same way great little war game is set up. (except only universal version gets retina)
Of course, that's true. We don't know what'll happen in the future, so I shouldn't assume that it'll never go down to $0.99. But, in my opinion, it's less likely. Yea, technically there will be 2 iPhone versions, but one is for iPad as well, so if someone has both devices or plans to get both, then the universal one is the better choice. I've never seen this either, but it's more of a 'gift' because 2DBOY felt that they charged too much for the iPad version when it first came out. And the iPhone version won't be universal. It'll be $2.99 for the iPhone version, or you can pay an extra $2 for the universal version. It wouldn't make sense for them both to be universal
Get Real Soccer. NBA Elite 11 hasn't had an update that addressed the new updated rosters and half of the game is Retina(after the update that was supposed to add this stuff) it was completely nerfed and abandoned at that point. Should you decide on a basketball game, go with NBA Jam...they recently updated it with new rosters and it plays very well.
Trying to figure out whats a good game to continue my ipad 2 break in Dead Space HD or Galaxy on Fire 2 ? Or other suggestions? (been eyeing yoot tower but seems like there's a lot of bugs from the reviews on itunes) I already played and beat Infinity Blade and RR2 HD
ihave to say gof 2 its amazing but get deadspace after since its good.. i just didnt like it on small ipod screen
I dont know what the rest thinks, but i got bored with Dead Space after a few play times. And i havent played GoF2, so i cant make you a comparison.
