Regarding Square Enix games I advise waiting until later this month when Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy III come out because they've had line-wide sales to celebrate new releases. Granted this is just my speculation. I haven't gotten around to Chaos Rings yet (but have it) and haven't played Final Fantasy III either although I grew up with Final Fantasy I so I'm biased. However, every Final Fantasy game is a stand-alone story united only by having the same developer and being RPG (and Cids [in-joke]). Since RPGs take some time to play through I suggest buying them when you're ready to play. Personally I've got way too many stock-piled RPGs I may never get too.
Yeah, I had seriously written my post when I saw that you had already replied! And thanks for the advice, I'll wait for Tactics, which people seem to really want.
Speaking of RPGs, Wild Frontier is now free for a time... if you're looked into KRPGs lately chances are someone's recommended this to you. Edit: Not turn based FYI
Wild Frontier and Crystal Soul are both free right now, so I'd definitely suggest downloading them now.
I hate impulse buying ): I just bought inotia 3 . Regret it now -.- I used to like RPGs but it just takes too long than compared to casual puzzlers . Argh !! ><
Most board games are pass and play. a few i can think of are monopoly, scrabble, and jenga and i think there are some card games that are pass and play.
Anybody know if 64th Street is any good? It's one of those old school '90s side-scrolling beat-em-ups. For that matter, any other suggestions for great beat-em-ups like that? Cut Em Up was ok, the Simpsons doesn't have a pause button. Any other good ones?
Can anyone give a quick run-down of some of those recent quick games? I'm not sure if they're necessarily pick-up-and-play, but I think you might get the idea after browsing this list: -6th Planet -Land a Panda -Liqua Pop -Collision Effect
Definitely pick up Collision Effect and Land a Panda. Very fun pick up and play games. Don't know bout 6th or Liqua Pop though.
Even if they were the same price, Collision Effect >> Liqua Pop, IMO. But since LP is more expensive, they're not even comparable. GC support, better controls, and a dev that's active on these forums... easy choice. That's just my $0.02, though. I can't comment on the other two as I haven't played them.
