hey guys, im gonna go on a long trip soon, and i'm bringing my ipad 16g Buts its gonna be filled with alot of books and stuff. So i'm looking for small sized ipad games with alot of content, or large size games with huge amount of content. I do have an ipod touch, so plz only recommend games which really use the larger screen, or are ipad exclusive.
A selection of games that take a long time to complete 100% and are either iPad exclusive or benefit a lot from the larger screen: World of Goo PicrossHD Mach Defense Airport Mania (the iPad version is much better than the iPhone version imo) Cogs HD Also The Creeps! HD is good, but the iPhone/iPod version is OK too. I prefer the iPad version though.
I've never played a JRPG or even a turn-based one, but I've been eyeing Chaos Rings lately. What are they like? How different are they from Aralon or Zenonia or Infinity Blade? Do any good turn-based RPGs have lite versions? I know these seem like stupid questions, but I literally have no idea what turn-based RPGs are like. I'm prepared to read a novel as a response, so don't be shy.
Is let's golf 2 any good? I have the 1st one, and recently got back to playing it. Is #2 a substantial upgrade from the 1st? Also, is there a website where I can track if any app has gone on sale? Thanks
I picked up Let's Golf 2 for $0.99 a while back and it's worth that but for me not much more (because I'm cheap and have many games in queue). The graphics are cutesy and the gameplay is more physics and reaction speed based but fun to play. Surprisingly engaging with lots of unlockables. I'm just not a big golf person. Haven't played Let's Golf 1 so can't compare.
Ash Lite is the free demo/trial version of Ash. Most turn based RPGs are in bird's eye view (like Ash) but Undercroft is a first person turn based RPG that's free and of decent quality. This website has a comprehensive list of RPGs (there's your novel). Most turn based iOS RPGs are pricey but they're usually more involved and time consuming. The Final Fantasy games on iOS are accessible turn based RPGs (they sometimes go on sale).
To answer the question undeadcow didn't beat me to, download Appshopper for free. You can customize it in tons of ways, track price drops, updates, and new apps, as well as set up an excellent wish list system. Hope I answered your questions!
Thanks, I'm downloading Ash's demo. I've never played a Final Fantasy before, so should I get the third once its port hits the store, or were the first two better? Or, should I ditch those retro ports and save up for Chaos Rings?
I like appminer, though sometimes it doesn't notify me when an app I'm watching goes on sale. Though I haven't been using it much lately, as whatever games I actually want I buy on the spot.
+1 for sure. Notification and email system is excellent, but make sure you mess with settings or else it will send emails for every update as well. I like it just price drops. Also, if you are on your computer, appshopper.com is the same system and you can use the same account.
Hey all, Papa Sangre is currently free! Get it for when you upgrade, even if your current device can't handle it!
