Damn, I guess it's going to be a slow night after all. Only got Shadow Era to look forward to since people haven't had the best impressions about Waves.
What's a good shoot 'em up? I was thinking about WAVE, but I've been hearing some not-so-great things about it. What are some good alternatives?
No, I have it running on my 3G right now. EDIT: Although it crashed at the first launch and then after I accepted a battle.
WAVE from what I've played (the beta) was GREAT. Definitely consider that. but another good shoot 'em up would be Sky Combat.
Phoenix (the poor man's CAVE shmup) Dodonpachi and Espgaluda (as good as it gets for the genre) Sky Combat (a cheap, more casual shmup that's pretty darn fun) I'd say these are my top 3/4. Look out for CAVE's new game (Deathsmiles) as well. I'd say check out WAVE as well. Only two notable releases this week (WAVE and Shadow Era)..:\, it's been a while since we've had one of these dead weeks. I guess it's a nice break in a way, heheh.
Ok, I need a game to keep me busy, with infinite replayibility, not something that gets boring and repetitive quickly. A game that's like MC2 (not the shooter part, the fact that it's online is unbeateable)
I've been looking at getting bug wars which I've seen getting a lot of love on this thread, but I also think Lego Harry potter looks interesting. Should I get one, the other, or both?
Wave is fun but in its current state, it's way too glitchy and the controls are subpar. After the next update, though, it might be more of a "recommend", but for now, there's no way I'd put it on the level of Cave's shmups. Of course, for 1/9 the price, I guess it doesn't need to be quite up there to be worth it.
Lego Harry Potter is one or those games tbs you can only describe as amazing. Bug Wars, not so much. Maybe you're thinking about Bug Heroes. That games brilliant, but can't match up to LHP either.
