/\ If you like frantic platformers like Hook Worlds then you'll probably enjoy League of Evil and if you're up for an endless style game The Blocks Cometh is a nice compliment to that. Doodle Army has some good humor but can get violent and is more run 'n gun.

You have several dual stick shooters and along that line I recommend Aftermath (which has a nice creepy atmosphere) and Meow Meow Happy Fight (which has many unlockables and rumored to be going on sale soon). Also Pirate's Cove is probably the most comprehensive DSS I've played yet (many, many level variations).

I haven't played The Incident so can't compare but The Blocks Cometh's controls have worked fine for me so don't let complaints overshadow what is a good game.

It's mainly because the flash version looks and feels way better than the iPod one.

Can you guys suggest something with a creepy/cool/immersive environment?
I'm really loving 'infinight' right now.
Or something with a compelling/makes-you-think story.

Aftermath - an awesome zombie shooter with incredible creepy lighting and atmosphere. The campaign is a bit short (and not really thought-provoking), but there is a survival mode. And it's only $1.

Also Solomon's Keep and Solomon's Boneyard - good action RPGs with great lighting/atmosphere. SK is more of a story/campaign style game and SB is more survival.

Dead Runner has great atmosphere, but no story at all - it's basically a running game, but in 3D instead of 2D side scrolling.

Soul and Trapped:Undead Infection are two other creepy atmosphere games. I didn't really get into Soul (not my type of game) and while I finished Trapped, I wouldn't say it's the best game in the world (but it's not terrible).

For compelling makes-you-think story type games, you may be a bit more hard-pressed unless you go for one of the gamebook adventure/fighting fantasy type games. Rimelands has a decent story to it actually and good TBS/RPG gameplay. Battle for Wesnoth has a number of different stories/campaigns in it and is a turn-based strategy game, but I'm not sure I'd say the stories really make you think (though I haven't played them all - a couple of them do have RPG style choices that can change the course of the campaign though). I guess it depends on what you mean by makes-you-think - if you mean profound, yeah, that may be challenging. If you mean the game makes you think about decisions that could affect the story, there are a number of those - Wesnoth, Aralon, Galaxy on Fire 2, The Pantheon Cycle, The Quest, and more.

If you have a 4th gen device papa sangre is great and unique, but you need decent quality headphones to really enjoy it.

In addition to Artfoundry's suggestions, all of which seem good...

Fallen Ep-1: Creepy adventure game based inside a "full-of-evil-creatures prison." [Currently free]

Mystique: Eerie "room-escape like game," try to escape the blood soaked bathroom if you can. [First game is currently free]

Zombie Escape: has a zombie aftermath free with military helicopters and zombie mobs. Less creepy than post-apocalyptic but immersive [$0.99]

Monster Mayhem: tap/slash screem to kill cartoon monsters but good halloweenish vibe. More cutesy gothic than creepy. [$0.99]

    Plus there's always The Creeps.

Highborn and Knights of the Phantom Castle are also both good. Highborn is more contemplative and Knights more fast paced. Knights is one of my favorite iOS games.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, I'll look into them.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a scary game, by the way.
Kind of a scardy cat. :p hahahahaha

I actually don't like it since my headphones are crap, but if you have more than $30 headphones it can be really immersive... I guess people like the horror experience.

It is part revolution in relation to game experience and in the end is one of my favorite games for the iPad. They took a concept that had more or so recently been a passed around youtube video and formed a game around it. It is the most true app that brings the user into an environment you immerse yourself into. The key is to allow yourself to enter it. If you play it with expectations then you will nto enjoy it. The twists and turns and overall nature of the software make the game a success in my book. Papa Sangre is not for everyone as it applies to a niche of people who find enjoyment in imagination immersion but to anyone reading this, get the game now.

I'm thinking about buying Carcassonne. I knew I should've bought it when it was still $5, but is it worth $10? Do you think a sale is likely to happen?
