Surprisingly, I bought pretty few games this sale since I generally have most of the titles that are discounted. I picked up Shadow Guardian, Star Battalion, FIFA 2011, Dead Rising...and wow, that's it. Heh, $4 spent on one of the biggest sales the AppStore has seen. Well besides those, I've "recently" picked up League of Evil, NBA Jam, DMC 4, Jellycar 3, Karoshi, Battleheart, Sacred Odyssey, Bop It, Legendary Wars, Etolis..and Phoenix (old game). Got $12.44 left for February, and I'm definitely going to need $6.99 + tax for StarFront when it debuts this week..so I'll have enough for about $4 worth of other games that come out in the next...17 days .
Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of the games that I wanted I've already bought prior to the sale. I probably spent closer to $10, but to end up with two games I like, plus several others that'll entertain me for a little bit, it doesn't seem too bad of a deal at all. I'm surprised that V-day turned out to be such a huge sales day. Is it just because the Verizon customers came in?
Yes, I believe so; there actually are a substantial amount of new iPhone users as of now due to the new support from verizon. Many, many people have been waiting for AT&T's grip to end on the iPhone.
Ok I'm looking for a really fun and addicting game that requires little to no thinking, so no puzzle games. Price doesn't matter.
Phantasy Star II and Shining Force were both definitely worth a buck. If Shinobi 3 runs at full speed and has decent controls, that's worth it as well. Definitely go for Dead Space at that price. I picked it up at full price and couldn't stop playing it for quite some time.
Holy shit it's already $2.99? Pick it up now man! The game is one of the few that truly deserved all the hype and attention it's gotten, even more so than Aralon in my opinion. Yes, it's that good.
Alright, dled. Thanks. : D Ideas for the other question? Ah yes, also thanks to backtothis. :> Yeah, the international version is down to this.
In terms of performance, Real Racing 2. As for visual, I can't recall because every racer in the App Store pretty much gets clobbered by the greatness of Real Racing 2. Just get it and don't buy any other racer ever again. (Except Real Racing 3, 4, 5, 6, and every other sequel after that )
+1, rememeber when I said I had 2 whole folders of 'premium' racing titles? I've finally tried them all out and now only have 5 racers on my iPod: RR2, Asphalt 6, NFS: HP, Reckless Racing, and Crash Bandicoot 2. No racing sim even touches RR2. I deleted both RR and GT racing as soon as I had tried one round of RR2. The nfs games by EA..yeah, not so much. Only keeping HP cause I feel like I need to keep at least one game from the series on my iPod xD. Same goes for asphalt 6. But in truth, no racing game even touches the production value of RR2. The multiplayer system is incredible as well. If anyone still doesn't have it for $4.99...forget any other games for now if you have any interest in racing.
Forget any other games for now period. But anyways, I do have to say that the original Real Racing shouldn't be deleted just because of RR2. While lacking in content, the gameplay of Real Racing seemed much more realistic than its sequel. And good decision on the NFS, too. If you were to keep one of the NFS games, let it be HP. Undercover was alright, I've played it a good bit on other devices but not my own so I don't have much say for it, but it wasn't disappointing at all. HP was pretty enjoyable and a decent buy. I got it after I got RR2 so I probably would be even more impressed if I hadn't played RR2. The "other" NFS, whose crappiness is so extreme that it cannot be named, shouldn't even be in the conversation.
