So I am in the fortunate situation where I have both an iPhone 4 and an iPad that my employer has provided me (the iPad will probably be temporary, but the iPhone 4 will be staying) I'd like to get a universal game that I can play on both the iPhone 4 and the iPad (until/if it goes away) and I'm having a hard time deciding. I would much prefer something with some longevity to it, and as such I've been looking primarily at Galaxy on Fire 2 (I love space exploration/space combat games) and Aralon: Sword and Shadow (I love RPG's as well). Would someone that has played one or the other or both give me their opinion on what I should get? There are a ton of other great games out there I know, but I'm looking for something specifically universal so that I can buy it once and play it on both devices. Any advice/recommendations is much appreciated!
Both are great games, but go with Aralon because it's deeper. Also pick up Bug Heroes; it isn't universal yet, but an update will soon make it so. It is optimized for Retina display.
Whoa I got a major problem here. I finally took the time to transfer everything from itunes (60gb+) from my pc to my new macbook pro. Here's the issue. When I go to the apps section under my ipod, everything is grayed out until I check the sync apps box. However, then I get a warning that it will replace my ipod apps with my current library. Then I click continue...and I see my itunes trying to sync 600+ apps onto my ipod, my entire library. I definitely don't want to do this as this will delete all my saves/scores for the 200 or so games I have on my ipod at the moment. I have tried transferring purchases, authorizing the computer, and clicking sync ipod. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much.
Appbackup... Or if you have the time, you could pick the game saves out using iPhone explorer, but that would take forever. I had the exact same problem as you, but iTunes didn't delete any of my apps or game saves. It did a lot of extra games, but nothing was erased. Also, I'm pretty sure you could just back up you iPod, sync it and if all the data is lost, then just restore to the backup you made seconds earlier.
I already backupped my games into itunes if that's what you mean. So are you saying I should just go through and sync everything but uncheck everything I don't already have on my ipod from the app sync selection screen?
A game that holds your interest and is just awesome....a revolutionary type of game. I need one of those. I have a 2g....so some restrictions.
anyone else? ... Oh, hmm I just realized it's not trying to sync my whole library. It's just trying to sync all my apps but not in folder form, which causes the games to exceed the maximum pages by 40 apps..ah damn..it's gonna be a bitch sorting them back into folders, but okay it's not too big of a problem. Issue resolved xD.
What should I get I have a 25 dollar iTunes gift card. I was thinking about Lego harry potter, bug heroes, and Aralon: Sword and Shadow. Do you have any suggestions? THANKS!

Lol is the last level in Galaxy on Fire where you kill the commander of the rogues? If so, that was an extremely boring game that only last 52 minutes. Definitely don't feel like playing the missions to just get more money...galaxy on fire 2 better be more fun lol..starting that now.
Backtothis - let me know what you think of Galaxy on Fire 2, I've been considering picking it up but I'm kind of stuck between that and Aralon...
Get Aralon now. I'm an hour into GoF2 for now, and while it's a pretty good game with very good visuals, Aralon definitely comes on top for me. If you didn't like the first GoF too much, you'll like the second one more sure, but it's still the same cup of tea in more ways than one. Definitely get Aralon over this though.
