I think AADX is worth getting, but then again, I bought both the day they came out and don't regret it. If you're not a huge JRPG (not to be nitpicky, but AA is not a KRPG) fan, then waiting probably won't hurt you.
Hm..in a way it's a little of both. True enough, it's quite different from zenonia/inotia type games, but in a good way. The missions are varied. The story is great. It's honestly actually fun, and you'll want to play it to the the end. I bought the DX version after beating the original game many months ago when it first came out. It was still quite a blast.
There are lite versions of both Across Age and Across Age DX; the combat mechanics is the most important difference. Think about it...

Knights of Phantom Castle! - is one of my all time favorite strategy games, with some depth but a steeper price tag ($4.99; although worth it). You control no more than 4 heroes in a small real time strategy set-up but given only 4 heroes with different abilities there is a lot of strategy involved. You can customize equiptment and/or assign the heroes an apperantice but each cost so there is also a resource management component. Ascendancy -I haven't played it yet but I hear it's gold. It's a port of the earlier 90s PC game and pretty fine if you like indepth strategy.
Of course, I see this when I have 60 dollars in my account and don't need any more apps. I would reccomend Bug Heroes, it has a ton of depth. If you want another dual stick shooter, alive 4 ever returns, Guerilla Bob, and Revolt are all excellent choices. PS. UndeadCow, you have exactly the same amount of posts as Watabou, so no cake for you!
I'm sort of in the same boat with having itunes credit and no idea what to get. If there's nothing that interests you atm I'd say wait untill other games come out.
I have cut the rope already. I guess I'll try Bug Heroes. I was thinking about getting it but screenshots didn't look too good so I don't know. It has some good reviews though so I might as well.
I didn't think Bug Heroes had great screenshots at all but the gameplay is better than sliced bread. TA said they could never go back to another dual stick shooter again and gave it 4.5 out 5, as did 148apps. Yahoo said it was one of the top five best dual stick shooters. Edit: What did you say about bad graphics;D

I'm on the same boat here. I have $61.70 right now in iTunes credit and there's honestly nothing I'm even HALF interested in. Shit happens when you pour over $60 per month into the appstore for two years. The 150$ spent in December doesn't help much either. In any case, what the heck is coming out in the very near future (this Wed. and next Wed.)? All I got on my list is Dead Space and Starfront..
League of Evil looks good. If this related to the one currently in the appstore, I'm not interested. D.A.R.K looks great. Legendary wars...yeah...no. Not too big about casual games..any BIG games coming out?..:\
Legendary Wars isn't a casual game. Its more of a castle defence/side scroller game. Very Very fun game. Theres another League of Evil in the Appstore? EDIT: Forgot about Battleheart. What about that?
Dead Space should be coming out next week or so so definetely look into that. And Starfront: Collision (Starcraft clone) should be released real soon too.
Oh and there are other games that I am really looking forward to but I am not sure when will be released. In any case not that soon. Shattered Memories M.U.S.E Warm Gun Mission Europa and a couple other games which I can't remember at the moment.
