Its a very fun game so far but not as good as Street Fighter IV. Its pretty difficult. The animations are great and the Finishers in the game are sick! Theres even a finisher where you drop an arcade game on your oponent. I do recommend Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3! Especially for 99c right now.
If I could get only 1 (because $2.99 is more expensive) should it be Aross Age DX or Illusia (or neither)?
Haha, you sound like someone who's never played MK3 before. Have you? And I just picked this game up this morning. I'll play it at school since it's the last day before vacation and none of the teachers give a crap about that sort of thing and give some impressions when I get home.
Last dollar! I had 10 dollars to spend on this Christmas sale, and already bought 9 games . So, as until December 28 there won't be any other price drops, I want to spend my last dollar on an iPad game, preferentially. I'm thinking to buy ZombieSmash HD, what do you guys think? If you have ideas for other iPad or even iPhone games, I'm listening.
I've got a few games I'm looking at...Input is appreciated (on the iPad, if that matters for control/display). SFIV - It was OK on the 360, nothing ground breaking like SF3:3rd Strike was. Everyone rants and raves about it, so I wanted to know if it was just because they were SF fanboys, or if the game is actually that good. RE4 - The original was meh, but I saw it on the iOS and got somewhat excited again. It's only 99 cents right now, but there are some terrible 99 cent apps. 7th Guest - I've heard some complaints that they really muffed up the atmosphere with some bugs. Still considering this because I was never smart enough to finish this back when it originally released! Angry Birds HD - I know, I skipped out on this one until now. Is it EVER going on sale, or should I just pay full price and get over it? Rock Band HD - I have Jubeat from the JP app store, and this fulfills the hardcore rhythm gamer in me (IIDX, Pop'n), but this one looks pretty neat. Is it hard/fun/varied enough? Twin Blades HD - I'll check the topic on this one. At 99 cents, again, it's hard NOT to bite, and it looks kind of neat. FF1/FF2 - I played FF1 on the NES growing up, a release might be fun. I just hated how they re-released it on the GBA as an easier game. Did they make this one much easier, too? And I've never played FF2, so I've got no info on how this one has changed/if it's as good as FF1. **phew** Thanks for the input/help!
Is aralon fun for a non-RPG player? I have never played an RPG before, but they look interesting. The exploration side of Aralon looks like a lot of fun to me, but the combat looks mediocre. Is this true? Since I am more of an action/shooter game person, will I be lost in this game?
Soccer Superstars by Gameval is a blast but may be too casual with 5 minute matches, RPG elements, and cutesy retro graphics. If you're cool with that stuff it's highly recommended. Currently $0.99 sale price.
Aralon has a Morrowind feel to it. If you're not an adventure/RPG gamer, it MIGHT not be your cup of tea. But I will say, it's probably my favorite game out right now, simply because it's done something I've not seen before on the platform.

Worms 2 or Star Hogs? I see both are on sale now, and I want to get one at some point. Also, here's my opinion on Mortal Kombat 3: Just picked it up for a buck this morning and I've been having a ton of fun with it. Despite the lack of characters, it's still a ton of fun to play. The 3D models look fantastic, and EA did a great job of converting the stop motion characters of the original game to 3D. The controls feel a lot better than I thought they would, and despite being used to the typical control scheme, the basic one felt great. Pulling off Fatalities has never been easier, and they look even better in 3D than in the original MK3 (then again, they looked kind of stupid in MK3 seeing as they tried to dumb them down from the looks of things). It may not have been worth $7, but it's impossible for any fan of fighting games or Mortal Kombat to pass this up while it's only a dollar.
