i had the same thought. i'd love to read a review. going to look for some now. i'm probably going to get it either way... anyone have any thoughts?
i hate the app store. just as i convince myself to buy perfect cell, i see that street fighter just dropped its price. is there any reason that i shouldn't buy SF? help.
NO!!! Buy it NOW!!!!!! It will probably never be deleted from my iDevice. Street Fighter = AWESOMENESS!!!!!!
grr. so there are now 14 characters...up from 8? that's pretty cool. GC integratioin? good stuff... is it still only bluetooth multiplayer? is there a chance of wifi? do the limited controls hinder the experience? seriously? there are NO faults? i need to know all the bad things about a game before i buy it...
CRAP!!! i think i'm getting the both. screw this. seriously, though. the expenses are getting out of hand. i don't have time to play all this stuff. insane month.
Is Dead Rising worth $1.99? I want it to be good but I know it's not, someone talk me out of it. Thanks, I picked up Queen's Crown for $0.99 (how could I not?) earlier today. Still going back and forth about Chronicles of Zic.
I've heard a lot of negative reviews. In fact, i think those are the only kind of reviews I've heard. I was thinking about getting this too, but I decided to say no.
I second Spider - Secret of Bryce Manor, IMHO it is a great game and one of the few enjoyable platformers on iOS. But I now have a dilemma: Chaos Rings, FF1, FF2, War for Eustrath, Across Age. I can get any 3 of them. Which would be best, given that I have never played any of them and tend to like retro titles? I do prefer turn-based to action, but I also like puzzles. Also, I loved the Shining Force, my first SRPG. Help!
Max Adventure or Age of Zombies? I honestly wasn't that impressed by the AoZ lite, but it IS on sale...
I prefer Age of Zombies to Max Adventure but the AoZ lite version seems representative of full release so if you didn't like that you might want to forgo full releas. Max Adventure is good too. On a side note Red Nova came out on same day as Max Advanture and I prefer Red Nova so if you're in the mood for a dual stick space shooter consider Red Nova.
I'd say CR, WoE and AA. One of every kind. CR is a great turn based RPG, WoE is an awesome SRPG and AA is a bit more action.
Would Aralon still be fun for a non-RPG player or is it too hardcore to get into for an action fan? I'm intrigued by the open world, but the fantasy theme isn't that appealing to me.
My Ipod got stolen a couple of months ago so I had stopped buying games until I (hopefully) can get an Iphone on Verizon. But I recently got an Itunes card and decided to blow it all on these sales. So far I bought: Drop7 Solipskier Reckless Racing Hero of Sparta 2 Let's Golf 2 Spiderman I think I bought one or two others but can't think of them off the top of my head. I've been out of the loop on games due to the fact that I don't have an idevice currently. Any other suggestions to burn the rest of my $15 card? I'm considering these ones and a few others: Niroshima Hex Space Invaders Battlefield: BC2 MMA NBA Elite 11 NFSHP Across Age Avatar Bit.Trip.Beat
Neuroshima Hex - Unique board game, for .99 I'd definitely recommend it. Space Invaders Infinity Gene - This not a bad game by any means, but I feel it's overhyped. If you're on a $15 budget and considering how many other sales there are, I'd skip this. Battlefield: BC2 - Never played this so I can't give you a solid response, but I believe you go to this game for the campaign, not the multiplayer. NBA Elite 11 - Unless you are a serious die hard NBA fan, this game doesn't do basketball justice. The small screen of the iDevices simply just don't give you enough room and controls for a proper experience. It barely gets by as a casual on-the-go basketball sim. Not recommended. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - For .99, the content you get is definitely worth it. If you like arcade racers, this is definitely recommended. Personally, if you want a racing game though, or just one of the best games in the App Store in general, I would totally spend $10 of that $15 gift card on Real Racing 2. You simply can't get any better in the App Store than Real Racing 2. As for the other games, I haven't a clue about them.
the voice of reason. i picked this up earlier in the week because i've never seen it on sale. it's cool...and maybe it gets cooler...but it's not as great as EVERYWHERE says it is. music mode is pretty neat though.
Since I'm a huge ttl fan, it was for me! You may find more value for your buck in Spider-Man or NfS: HP, but the new game mode is most definitely worth a shot, if only to support One Man Left for all the free content they've given us so far.
I think Aralon is such an action heavy RPG it's more accessible than even I as a RPG fan care for (but it's still awesome). Watch some gameplay videos on youtube and get it if the action mechanics seem solid to you get it. Recommended.
I wouldn't. I think the combat is one of the less polished parts of the game. The world itself is nicely done, so if you like the exploration side, then you might like it. But if you're looking for good action, I don't think it's quite ready (but hopefully will be after some updates). It's not really hard-core as far as RPG qualities go - you might be ok with that side of it (it's kind of a simplified Diablo 2 in terms of RPG mechanics). On the other hand, the fantasy theme of course is pretty well ingrained. So I guess if the exploration and simple RPG mechanics are more important than the combat and fantasy aspects, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd at least hold off until it's been updated to improve the combat and targeting.
