All of the above. I paid $2.99 each for Canabalt, Solipskier, and Spider and $.99 for Osmos. Just picked up Drop7 and Eliss. the first four (of which you already have Osmos) I fully recommend. Canabalt has amazing music and some of the greatest, down to earth run as far as you can gameplay. Solipskier is simply amazing all around. Spider is fantastic too. Yes you should. I bought it at $10 and I'm loving it. Yes you should get Mirror's Edge, Solipskier, and every other indie game in that list. Samurai 2 isn't bad, not great though. It's worth the buck, that's for sure. Also, if you haven't already, you should definitely buy Hook Worlds. By far my most played game from the recent deluge of games.
Final Fantasy I is much more newcomer-friendly than the second one. The leveling up system is much more straightforward, the quests are easier to understand, and the game is just overall more enjoyable. I've spent weeks playing absolutely nothing but FFI on my PSP, which isn't something that I do with many games. Definitely get that one. As for the dude who asked about Chaos Rings, why are you still even considering it?! Why haven't you hit the Buy button already?! GO HIT IT NOW!
Ok, I have $5 to spend. Can some people please offer up suggestions on what should get? An none of them indiesale games... Thanks.
You werent very specific to a genre, but; Any rocketcat game Any robot unicorn attack Any PacMan game Some good cheap games you may not have heard of; G.I.Joyride Bit pilot Super turbo action pig Heads will roll Stay
Is it worth buying Chaos Rings HD if I already own Chaos Rings SD? Worth is a relative statement here of course, but does it look or play any better on the iPad?
Is Eliss actually still something special, or was it just one of the first few genuinely decent iOS games and is a bit obsolete now? It looks a bit basic and I'm not sure whether it's worth investing, though obviously I appreciate the artstyle etc. Just worried about whether the gameplay is actually any good compared to new titles this year... This also applies to Drop7. Oh, and is Kometen any good? I see it's on sale...
Quick!!! Quick, I have 6.99 should I get Nova 2 or other games like Hot Pursuit, Battlefield, Dungeon Defenders, etc Please give why, and some examples
Eliss is one of the most unique, challenging, frustrating, oh-god-why-don't-I-have-more-fingers games you'll ever play. It's well worth 99c, if only for the experience. Just be warned: only the extremely dedicated will even get to level 20. Drop7 is also great, but it has more lasting appeal. The gameplay is, in a word, brilliant and guarantees there are a plethora of strategies to be employed. I highly recommend both games, especially for 99c. After all, you'll be donating $0.67 to charity anyway.
Yeah, because one of the things that put me off Eliss was the fact it only had 20 levels... How long are the levels and why do they become so hard then?
You should probably get the first game before the second. It seems like the storyline continues from the first to the second, so it may be worth playing anyway. It's an amazing game anyway, so there's absolutely no reason to overlook it.
Drop 7 is a ton of fun (and I hate match 3 games). Try out the free flash version first though to see if you like it. Same game, just a different name. http://chainfactor.com/
Is osmos any good? I tried it out on my macbook, but I didn't really like it. The touch screen is probably a much better control scheme though. How is it?
It's probably the best out of the 6 indie games on sale, besides Spider that is. It's a ton of fun on the iOS.
Alright, just got Aralon today, and here's the lowdown on how it runs on the 2G: It's not the smoothest ride ever, but it works. MAKE SURE TO RESET YOUR DEVICE! I tried to play the game without doing so and it crashed literally every time it tried to load. After resetting it worked fine, so it's just a matter of resetting. The framerate isn't bad at all, although it's not as great as it would be on a higher end device (as to be expected). The additional graphical options are cranked down all the way by default, and it runs better than Ravensword as is. So to sum it all up, it's perfectly playable, although expect the graphics to be lesser than expected and to not have the highest framerate ever. Now for my question: I just got another 15 today, bringing my total up to $39. Any good games I'm missing out on? I'm pretty interested in Ash, as well as basically any of Thursday's releases or any of Gameloft's recent releases. I'm also looking at Secret of Mana a bit too, although I'm leaning towards sticking to the SNES version for the price.
Ash is supposedly very good as with secret of mana I can't say which is better though because I haven't got either at the moment I'm looking at getting a simple pick up and play game any ideas? I was thinking about canabalt but it doesn't have to be an endless runner
