+1 Pick which genre you're more excited to play. They're both amazing games. I'd suggest Aralon first!
Aralon is really great, I'm having a good time with it... if you at all like action or "western" RPGs you owe it to yourself.
Please help sales Hi all I need lots of help picking out a couple games to grab during the sales I'll group my choices based on company. If anyone has advice good or bad please let me know thanks! Also recommend anything I missed too. Note: all 0.99 and I have about $14 to spend. I don't have an iPod Touch 4G but plan on getting one very soon so I can pick up some things preemptively EA: Simpsons Arcade Fifa 11 Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit The Game of Life MAYBE: Pictureska! or Mirror's Edge Gameloft: UNO Hero of Sparta II Oregon Trail Indiesale: Solipsker (why does everyone LOVE Drop 7? Looks pretty basic to me) Other: Samurai II: Vengeance Thanks everyone for your help
I don't understand. You have $14 and you're asking us to pick games from a list of 10 .99 games. Last time I checked, $14 is enough to buy $10 worth of games even if you have tax?
they are all spectacular. i mean it. every one of them. if you don't have them, i would get them all. if you can only get a couple now, it doesn't matter which ones they are because you should be getting the other ones as soon as possible. seriously. as far as a collection of games goes, these 6 are hard to top unless you really try. i've never seen a better collective sale than this one, and for charity to boot. if i had to do away with one, i would lose canabalt, but only because the genre has been improved upon with monster dash and rogue runner. that being said, canabalt is still pretty sweet. solipskier needs game center. badly. other than that, it is BY FAR my favorite endless game. it's not even close. not even a little bit. spider and osmos are probably the most polished of the titles and both are emphatically recommended. drop 7, in spite of the hate it gets here (mainly because of its praise in another gaming community), is a brilliant concept that is loosely based on a twisted combination of tetris and sudoko. it's been called a match-3 game. it's not. much more cerebral and complicated. another game BADLY in need of GC. honestly, all 6 of these games are awesome and i was really excited to see them grouped together. i've had them all for a long time and i throughly enjoy all of them. the only one that may not have been worth it is canabalt because of its age and the new kids on the block...but for .99, it's a no-brainer.
i would skip everything by EA and gameloft and buy everything on the indie sale list. including drop7, which is hardly basic. it's no aralon, but it is awesome for what it is. i would also get samurai II. i'm serious. anything you don't have from that indie list is mandatory iOS gaming. EA and gameloft don't belong in the same paragraph as those games.
FF1 or FF2? I'm new to JRPGs, but I'm enjoying my first one with Chaos Rings. How similar are the FF games to CR and which should I try first? (Or maybe I'll get both, too.)
I would recommend the whole indie sale bundle, all the games are amazing in it. Samurai II is a wonderful too, 99 cents is a criminally low price. Buy Hook Worlds!!!!!! It's on sale and it's amazing.
I apologize let me rephrase my request. I know I CAN buy them all but I wanted recommendations about some of the ones I was looking at (I don't necessarily want to spend it all right now) so if anyone has played some of the ones on my list and has recommendations good or bad it will help guide me towards my final decision. I put this out there to ask advice about my list not strictly as a buying guide. I left the extra $3 as a buffer in case someone recommended something additional Thanks for your help and I hope that clarifies
I was wondering if I should get Eliss with this indiesale thing. All the other ones I didn't already own (canabalt, cosmos, spider) I bought instantly but was hesitant about Eliss since it hasn't been updated in almost 18 months.
It hasn't been updated because it's already perfect. It just lacks the multitasking and retina :\..but yeah please get it man. It's incredibly fun.
