SFIV isn't 3D. But I would still buy it over NOVA.

What are the newest hot games in the app store?

I don't care what genre? I just need some new games that are fun and keep me busy

Get Battle for Wesnoth. Best game on the app store and it's going for a dollar at the moment(worth more like 40) :)

Try out the Lite. It's not a game for everyone, but I personally would count it as my near-favorite or favorite iPhone game... ever. It's amazing.

I agree, though you should have at least a 2nd gen device, as even on 2nd gen, the game runs a bit slow. Can't wait to get the 4th gen and play it on that. The game really is incredible - huge amount of content and great turn-based gameplay.

What game has the best story in the App Store? I already have Chaos Rings, so that's a choice to eliminate, as well as most of the big RPG's (both Final Fantasies, both Zenonias, Inotia 2, etc.), as well as some less well known ones, like TNA. Unfortunately, we've heard nothing from Capcom about Phoenix Wright going stateside (anyone want to shoot them an e-mail about this?), so that's off the list. Any decent game with a good story will do.

Oh yeah, I have that too. Forgot to mention that one. Great game, and anyone considering it should definetly get it.

I should also add that while I like those storylines that are so ridiculous that they're awesome (like the upcoming Super Quick Hook where your goal is to find a lost piece of meat in an avalanche), I'm really looking for a game with a great storyline that you follow throughout the game, like in Metal Gear Solid, later Final Fantasy games, Chaos Rings, etc.

Oh, and if anyone can recommend a game like Zone of the Enders, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Well I had the lite and the first level is quite short... Is this how all the levels are?

I bought Raging Thunder II and I think it was definitely worth the $3. I'm having fun with it anyway...

More or less. The later levels (there's a total of six) get noticeably longer, but this is easily a game that could be finished in a half hour or so.

The fun isn't in just beating it, it's in beating it with the highest score, or on the highest difficulty, or other sorts of challenges. Also, there's three very different characters to play as and two distinct play modes.

Another vote for Raging Thunder 2. I'm really enjoying it atm and definitely worth $3. Haven't tried GT: Academy though.

GT:racing acadamy has a bunch of content and is a ton of fun, but it is more expensive... it also has performance upgrades... So i think the only downside is the price ;)

Raging Thunder is an arcade racer while GT Academy is a sim. If you're just going to get one, though, I'd say go for Raging Thunder. It's tough at first, but once you get into it, it's one of the best racers out there.
