How is the online in Galcon? Does it run smoothly and are there always players online?

Do you like twin stick shooters? (Minigore/Daisy Mae/Zombie Hunter)

    Turn based multiplayer strategy?

Damn that's specific, but I've fallen in love with games such as UniWar, but it seems the few clones out there are just godawful or just don't have multiplayer.

My officemate and I occasionally get to play some games together, so being able to play either over the internet/wifi/BT is possible since I just have a wireless router in my office to connect to.

    OR

Some type of card based game you can play with people over a network of some kind. Currently I've been playing Strongholds which can be fun, but a little weak.

Are there any good TCG style games that don't consist of only playing 5 cards and seeing who wins? I'd love to have a Magic:TCG clone of some kind that could play against others.

Help me TouchArcade... you're my only hope!

Yes i really like Minigore. But some of the reviews say it is not as good as Minigore and a knock-off.

I didn't like it very much. I felt as though it felt kid of 'clunky'. Honestly, it looks great with the level based design, but I didn't see the replay value in it (which is what makes minigore good).

    Doing nothing of importance.

I was going to recommend Urban Rivals since it's free and pretty fun, but it's pretty much what you DON'T want from a TCG... They really need to bring Yu-Gi-Oh to the iPhone. I hate the show, but the game is still pretty fun, and online play would make this huge.

To recap what I've said in other threads - ultimately the control is better in Minigore, as is Survival Mode.

What this game offers is good graphics, gameplay very close to MiniGore, and levels to play through (some with bosses)

If you'd like something that plays like Commando, but with a MiniGore dual-stick engine, Guerrilla Bob is that game. More content is supposed to be on the way. (Then again, same for MiniGore...)

War Generation just became free today for a limited time - basically a clone of Uniwar, but it doesn't seem to have multiplayer (or really a campaign for that matter).

As for TCGs, have you looked at Orions? It's the closest thing there is right now to Magic I think. However, there are a few new ones coming up - Arcane Clash, Shadow Era, and Duels of the Runemasters. I think the first two will be Magic like while the third will be a mix of Magic, Catan, and an RPG.

You might want to wait for Revolt or Trueaxis's duel shooter if you need a dual stick shooter.

I totally forgot about Orions... it's been forever since I played that game. I loved the card battle system, but the world map mode wasn't as fun. If they made a whole tournament style mode around the card battles it'd be a much better game. Still fun though.

Anybody know about a game like Monkey Island, Beneath a Steel Sky, etc?

I love this genre of games, but I want more.
