Broken iPhone for 1 month - What have I missed? Hey guys iPhone has been broken for a months. What are the big new news over that time? What have I missed? Cheers
Grand Theft Auto, Brothers In Arms 2, Assassin's Creed II Multiplayer, Rayman 2, GT Racing, Final Fantasy 1 and 2, Plants vs Zombies, X2 Snowboarding, We Rule (out in Canada), Astro Ranch and Raging Thunder 2. Upcoming games include EA's Skate it and Gameloft's Splinter Cell.
Just get it. At 3 bucks, it's an AWESOME game. TONS of content and a great combat system. The controls aren't bad, but there's some issues, but this isn't a really fast paced game, so it works.
Apps with low battery drain? Wow... 28 hour bus journey tomorrow. I'll mostly be using my iPod to play music but I might play a game or two. What do you think has the least battery drain?
Stay away from games that use the accelerometer. Turn off Wifi/BT. And yeah - one of those battery pack things might work, though I've had bad luck with those and my cell phone. Maybe if you bring a car charger you could bribe the bus driver into letting you charge your iPod... Make that a combo car/wall charger if there are any stops.
The only stops are to eat or go to the toilet. I really should have got one of those battery packs. Oh, and about the bus driver:They're really coach drivers. I've heard they take they job pretty seriously, so no bribes.
Most people will be so sick of sitting in an enclosed space for that long that they'll be nauseous more if they look at tiny handheld screens. Better bring some salty snacks and a portable DVD player than concentrate on iPhone games.
This is a very interesting discussion, I always shut down my Wifi, Push Notifications, and turn the brightness down as low as I can and still be able to see the game. I'm not sure if turning off push notifications helps any, but I do it just because it's one more thing and I think it could possibly help a little, although I doubt it's noticeable. I've been told 2D games are better, but I think this may depend on the game and how it's designed.
I'll make sure I drain all the battery at the start of the journey then. I think you're right though, If I do it'll probably only be for a few minutes each time.
