might want to take a look at pocket god. It revolves most closely to simulation (half entertainment/half game) and has a bunch of mini games and lots to do...(0.99 as well...)

real mahjong I actually had to search for this... saw your post this morning and hoped someone would reply. The search took me to the next page for some reason, and I had to page back to find it... so, yes, it did get lost quickly. I like World Series Mahjong the best from what I've tried, just really wish it were universal. I tried HKMahjong when it was free recently and the AI was ridiculously easy. Four Winds Mahjong for iPad looks interesting, but sounds like it might need some UI tweaks. Has anyone tried that one or any others they like better?

What's the best Bullet-Hell style game on iOS in your opinion? I am looking for some but don't really know what would be the best. I know of that Espgaluda II game, but $7.99 is just a little too steep for what I want to pay for that kind of game, unless someone can convince me otherwise. >.<
If you're not willing to pay for CAVE's games (I'm not even willing to pay their normal prices), Phoenix is your best choice. It's an awesome game. Personally, I got EII and DR both for $3.99 and DS for $4.99, which I found to be good prices.
We're getting the new Fruit Ninja, Fara, Bike Baron, and probably Robo5 as well for just $0.99 and Mage Gauntlet for just a dollar more. Tomorrow is going to be awesome. Whale Trails looks pretty good too for just a dollar. Great games, amazing prices.
Phoenix looks perfect for me. Thanks man! It's not that don't mind paying $9+ for a great game that would be worth it, I just don't know too many people who have EII, or DR. They both look great but for those prices? Really? I would easily pay $4.99 for them though. But what makes them worth getting I guess is the question I am trying to ask lol.
After playing Cave's shmups, everything else I've played on the App Store just seemed like multiple tiers down. Though, whether or not a game like Espgaluda is worth foregoing several $1 shmups is just going to be personal preference.
