Hmm.. That's actually something i wanted to try on the PC since a long time... I didn't know that it's for iOS as well.. I'll have a look, thanks ^^
I don't think so. Do you have 4Towers Onslaught? It's a much better TD game, and it's free atm: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=110083 Anthill isn't a TD game, but has a similar 'feel', imo: http://toucharcade.com/2011/10/10/anthill-tactical-trail-defense-review/ I've only played 3 levels of Gem Keeper, but I'm enjoying it so far: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=110012 Sentinel 3 and Tower Defence: Lost Earth are also very good, if you haven't seen those already. All of the above are far better than Jelly Defence imo.
I have Civ Rev (on my iphone tho) and haven't had any problems. A great game. Battle for Wesnoth is also fantastic. Also Tactical Warrior is good (don't be turned off by the graphics - gameplay is very good). It's not Universal though (and no ipad version). Hunters is also good - very nice graphics, though gameplay is more limited than the others. Finally, Palm Heroes 2 - a great HoMaM clone. If you're looking for board/card games - Carcassonne, Ascension, Shadow Era, Wizard Hex, Kard Combat, Necronomicon, and Neuroshima Hex are some of the best.
Seriously, anybody that likes games like Civilization, I recommend King of Dragon Pass! I've only played about 30 minutes on an acquaintance's phone. The depth of the game was ridiculous, and the game was overall very immersive. I can only imagine how it would be if I had more time to play it. I do plan on getting it in the near future, but there have been way too many good iOS releases lately. So, I have to pick and choose. I made an earlier post about strategy games that I think any hardcore strategy/ turn based player will appreciate. These are the types of games I really enjoy myself. I also think a lot of the better strategy/ turn based games still haven't been released yet. Check out the games coming in the next few months. Again I made an earlier post talking about most of them. I'll repost for anyone who possibly can't find it.
So I was wanting some: 1. New 2. 2nd gen compatible 3. Low file size 4. Great games Also wondering if Lara Croft is 2nd gen supported and what the file size was uncompressed. Thanks
Hey guys, I was mulling over wheter to get King of Dragon Pass or Final Fantasy Tactics. Been leaning towards FFT. Any input? Thanks
These are two heavily in depth games on the iOS platform that are really great. They're both great strategy games and require moderate to intense effort from the user. I think the best way and easiest way for you to make your decision is to watch the links I'm posting. They're each only 3 minutes, but give an overall good impression of the games. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RZRsVglahkY http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MKOslKRRLOI If you need any more help/advice just reply to this post and I should respond in a somewhat timely fashion. If you want my personal opinion, I'd choose King of Dragon Pass for the story. Good luck! Also remember with these types of games, you should ultimately pick the one you think you'll like best.
Hey guys thanks for the responses, I just have a quick question. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is .99, is it worth the buy? And what are the best fps and tps available or coming soon for the iPhone.
For .99 it's alright. I bought it back when it first came out and thought it was just meh. Available shooter I would say to get know would be Shadowgun, and then just wait for anything upcoming. Possibly check out Warm Gun, Deadlock, and Contract Killer: Zombies. Upcoming shooters (some more hopeful than others) Modern Combat 3 2013: Infected Wars Goblin Heroes: Modern War Desert Zombie Last Stand Battlefield 3: Aftershock M.U.S.E Desert Storm Zombies
I want all of them lol This thread is alive like it was in the Summer Sometimes there was no post in over 14 hours, thought this was dead, now constant posts
Haha yeah. Developers are starting to push envelope with these newer games. Shadowgun showed us how great graphics could look in a full TPS. Also, Apple integrated asynchronous gaming, and that's pretty huge IMO. Look at games like Starbase Orion. I got it when it came out, 2 days ago, and it's already my favorite game on my iPod.
Ah. I forgot about M.U.S.E. That actually looks like a really sick game and it's published by Chillingo. As far as Six Guns, I'm always weary of a gameloft game that's not N.O.V.A or Modern Combat. I don't know anything about Desert Storm Zombies, but I'll add it to the list. This is why my signature says Looking forward to TOO MANY games
