It's worth getting. It's going to take you many, many hours to get all of the equips in campaign mode, but what wins it for me is the multiplayer, which came with the update. If you have friends to play with, the multiplayer mode is pretty darn awesome. The graphics and sound are of course still top notch as well.
It's a lot of fun. One player is randomly chosen the titan, while the other is the knight. It isn't hard learning the controls for the titan, but it is much different from the knight, which has the same controls as the single player mode. You play until someone wins 4 times, so a maximum of seven rounds. Between each round, you get to upgrade your equipment like in the game. If you're playing the titan, you get to upgrade to different titans. It gets pretty intense, honestly. I'm pretty sure I've spent more time playing the multiplayer than the actual game.
Grand Prix Story, To-Fu 2, Race Illegal, and ArkanoArena all look decent. Not sure I'm actually getting any of them though. We'll see. There's not really any must-haves as there've been in previous weeks for me..
GPS is an instabuy for me, but I'm worried that there might be a great release week next week, so I'll probably wait til I know what's releasing before I get it. I'll be buying Race Illegal for sure though.
Interesting... opinion on the game seems to be divided on the game (I'm praising the game alone, against others...) Would love to hear your opinions though. I've posted my impressions.
Whoa, just found the thread for jAggy Race. That looks freaking awesome. Looks like I found my must-buy for the night. Might still get Illegal Race as well. Edit: Got RI; now thinking about Tiny Heroes, lol. Looks like a really good game, and it's by the people behind the GeoDefense series.
Lol, probly a smart idea. I'm not either but that's just because my iTunes is empty . The only two games worth buying this week seems like jAggy race and grand prix story (possibly illegal race too). And I'm just gonna wait this one out. Not a great release day by any measure imo...
2 great racing games in one night! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=106322 http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=106409
What sort of options are there for open-ended, exploration based games? The best comparison I can think of would be a Fallout 3 or Elder Scrolls style experience. I have all iterations of The Quest already, so that's not what I'm looking for...I'm trying to get a more real-time experience that isn't AS heavily based around the combat. Maybe something like this doesn't exist, but I figured I'd at least ask!
