Hey guys, I've been out of town for a week and just got home. There seems to be a ton of games that were released, and I was wanting to know which ones I should get. I don't care about price (mostly because I'm sure I'll get FFT regardless of price).
Actually I remember them saying sometime around BMX's release that they would be giving away Touchgrind free on the mac as a thank you for their success. Not sure if it is going back to paid or not.
Ah, I see you already went for the good stuff. So yeah, Tactics is by far the best release, but this was still the best release week in a while. Cut the Rope Experiements; fun pseudo-sequel, easy but still amazing, just like the first Temple Run; possibly the best endless arcade game on the market. I'm dead serious. Bug Heroes Quest; Bug Heroes+exploration+even more RPG elements These are the best notable releases this week IMO. If anyone has any more suggestions, feel free to chime in.
There are plenty of games that work well on a 2nd gen device. PathPix Wild Frontier Tiki Totems Peggle Pet Shop Girl Valistroke Mechanic Panic Any Kairosoft games Terracore Adventures Monster Dash 100 Rogues Dungeon Raid Legends of Yore Glypha Hand of Greed
Indeed, IL is giving away the Mac version of the game because Touchgrind BMX was very successful. It's going to stay free. Probably going to download it and play around with it for a minutes and then delete it. Don't use my MacBook for gaming, lol. But yeah, it's kind of IL to do so, especially because IL has never had a sale on any of their iOS titles. It's a great company.
poor. One of the worst controls on iOS platform games ever... Joystick is small and on the side of the screen! And don't mention buttons, so hard to press those tiny THINGS.
I'm missing out because of file size problems, after I deleted Emberwind and couple other casual games I can afford Dead Space and Nova and maybe MC 2. Is Dead Space's single player far better than MC 2 or just a little? And does Dead Space have at least some sort of multiplayer?
That's hardly the gameplay. That's the interface, which I'm sure they'll fix in an update upon reading complaints on the issue. The game itself is actually really good. I thought the controls were a mess at first, but after a few levels, you'll figure out how to make do with them. It's a great game for a dollar.
Nova 2 is over 1 GB after it's uncompressed. MC 2 is 854.3 MB. Dead Space is 465.3 MB. Dead Space's campaign is incomparable to MC 2. Gameloft doesn't hold a candle in this case. Multiplayer for MC 2 more than makes up for it though. You'll probably enjoy MC 2 more in the long run. Dead Space is one of the best single player experiences on the iOS though. There's no form of multiplayer in it. Rule out Nova 2.
Regarding gifting apps, I know it's not possible to gift to people in a different itunes store than you, but I remember reading somewhere that it is not possible to gift apps at all if you use gift cards. is this true?
It's true. You can't gift apps through store credit from a gift card. What you have to do is get someone to buy you a gift card from a certain country and find a way to pay him for it. You can only gift on iTunes with some form of a credit/debit card.
I know that the game itself is good, it's just hard to play the game itself thanks to the controls, after an update this will probably end up in my Top5 all-time favorite platformers.
