Mass Effect is probably one of my favorite games of this current generation. I'm beyond stoked for this, can't wait.

I like how everyone has played ME on the iPhone and knows without a shadow of a doubt that it sucks.

Bioware is developing it. I think their track record has earned them a little faith that maybe they know what they're doing.

They ****ed up the Sonic game on the DS. The fact is while the main game is a labour of love from Bioware, EA still runs the the ship. This game looks like EA pulled 2 interns to make this, 2 interns who aren't aware of the strides made in the Appstore made in the last year.

Sorry, but if it looks like shit, plays like shit and previews from major sites said that it's shit, well, don't go panning for gold here and expect us to back you up.

This looks like a similar game to Dark Raider. I think I will stick with that, this doesn't look good at all.

Mostly I've found that the only ones that really suck are FPS controls. This is accelerometer based and it's from an overhead view so not sure what to make of it. Hope it's not too expensive. I'm hesitant to try it after reading all these posts so if it's too expensive, I think I'll just pass.

I love Mass Effect, but I wouldnt even get this game if it was $1 (unless it had great controls other than accelerometer)

It just seems like another Underworlds game: easy, short, not a lot of content. Except atleast Underworlds got the controls better.

I think this looks like it will be a good .99 cent - 1.99 shooter unless it has more depth in the game play.

i'm a little skeptical of the tilt controls. but I do want to encourage more original content from EA and not just ports. I'll prolly wait til the reviews are out or a price drop before i get it.

    Just read this...

Citing the "limitations" of Apple's handheld, Mass Effect Galaxy is comprised of "a very defined beginning, a middle with three branches, and an end sequence that takes the player to the final showdown with the game's antagonist." BioWare is staying mum on more info to do with the game..

Rest of article (very short): http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/31/mass-effect-iphone-becomes-mass-effect-galaxy-ties-in-to-mass/

So basically the gameplay will be a top down shooter where you use the accelerometer to move around with auto fire and a story with three different Act II's (so to speak) but the same Act I and Act III. It doesn't sound that promising but I'll wait and see.

This could have been a breakthrough app if they had put the time and effort in. Just look at real racing, a year in development and you can tell. I mean cmon EA don't spoil one of the greatest RPGs to date.
