I knew a guy who, after smoking for years, stopped.

A couple of years later he still dreams that he is smoking, but has never had another whiff.

He is now a successful English teacher and enjoys his day to day life.

Even though stopping may be one of the hardest things of your life, you won't regret it once you are clean.

Stick at it mate and try get into a hobby to occupy yourself.

You are addicted, you didn't think life was boring until after you became addicted, I'm never drunk when I'm watching TV or on my computer, but when I go out, to a party or whatever, I'll get drunk. You sound like your an addict in denial and depressed, with a family history like yours I would go see a doctor

    Very True...

I'm not an expert but IMO and experience......

THC doesn't manifest artificial feelings it only amplifies the feelings and the "state of mind" you already have

so if your depressed and lonely, smoking ganja is not going to make you "happy" and social; you will feel the "high" of course and a slight distortion of reality but it will NOT make you "happy"

so if you smoke ganja and it makes you paranoid and/or a nervous wreck that means your already paranoid and a nervous wreck to begin with but if you smoke it and it makes you as carefree as a baby that means your already a happy go lucky kind of person in a good mood and a confident state of mind

same with any Entheogens or any drug for that matter; IMO there is no drug capable of giving you happiness they either suppress or amplify feelings/states of mind; some also alter perception of time/reality but they do not flip a switch in your psyche and give you legit & lasting happiness

but when im just chillin or at a party (as a responsible adult) i will ALWAYS choose ganja over alcohol.

if its a legal issue that your paranoid about a LOT of people realize the blatantly obvious hypocrisy of marijuana prohibition and thats kind of empowering for some so as to not completely flip out OMG when doing something the status quo deems "illegal" others just dont give an issssh and the rest are drug dealers (or wanabe dealers) making profit so they dont care

i also would suggest not to use any powerful hallucinogenic drug such as shrooms salvia LSD ect as a recreational drug, do not use them without a sitter or without a confident state of mind especially if its your first time experience......

usually people who drink, do drugs, or smoke in excess for a long period of time usually feel that way after they suddenly stop. its mainly a result physical dependencies. itll take about seven months before your mind and body get reconditioned to going without whatever substance it is dependent on. after that you still might have cravings every now and then for the rest for your life but you wont feel like you do now

Not everyone, but every club I've gone to and just about everyone that was a regular there for years, your statement is true.

    hahahaha well yesss.......

if its happiness you seek, you will not find any in drugs

if its pleasure you seek, you will only find temp pleasure with lots of hidden expenses, risk and pain

drugs taken for pleasure; if not taken responsibly and respected will essentially defeat the whole purpose and the consequences will outweigh the minor temp pleasure tenfold and then some....

in the interest of preventing drug use, abuse, and dependency its all about education and awareness, not complete ignorance and abstinence....

i don't like the phrase "don't do drugs ever (because i told you not too)"

i would rather it be "i wouldn't do drugs for X because of Y and Z"

the more a person knows about drugs the more responsible they can be regardless of weather they are interested in doing drugs or not

I don't drink much at all, for the simple reason I know how to have an awesome time without it. That's not a totally uneducated view either, I've been drunk plenty of times and had some great laughs, but overall I feel it's not really necessary.

Yeah, its on the November ballot in CA and the last poll about it showed that like 60 percent of people want to legalize it so its probably going to get passed. And then all of the other large states will follow suit, because CA usually starts trends like that.

Why is that for shame? I personally dont smoke but I dont have a problem with those that do. I really dont see any downsides to it.

Now I'm not condoning anything but theres a certain "illegal" thing that does the same exact thing to you as alcohol and is much better for your health.....

I personally don't do this thing, but I know that it's better for you then alcohol.

Isn't that the very definition of an alcoholic?
