Choose if you like, I'm just curious over which one's more popular on this site. Personally, I'm a PC
Worst. Thread. Ever. I chose PC, because if you truly know how to use them and use them for a lot more advanced stuff, it's just better.
Ya. Should have tried it here instead Mac all the way. No PC in this lifetime. Probably in some afterlife I`d be using a PC as I dont think Macs will be allowed in Hell and I dont think I`ll be allowed in Heaven
Used PC my entire life since the 80s growing up, and i KNOW how to use a mod a computer. I went through plenty of machines. BUT... Switched to Mac a number of years ago and there is no comparison. Pertaining to Windows, Microsoft is just laughable this past decade. I will NEVER buy another PC.
As I was searching mac rumor's forums I cam across this post: Very funny. I'll provide the post link if you need proof
True enough. However, IMHO, this gets closer to the truth: Bingo. Macs are, in reality, PCs. So were Amiga and Atari computers back in the day (ah...Amiga...if it were still "truly" alive, I'd vote for it no question). PC = personal computer. Macs are personal computers and so are, by definition, PCs any way you slice it, brand name be damned. What they aren't, however, or, rather, weren't, were IBM compatible personal computers (remember that phrase?). Used to be IBM compatible vs. Mac vs. Amiga vs. Atari vs. whatever else (Acorn, etc.) because each used pretty different sorts of hardware. But now it isn't about hardware, since most share the same or similar hardware, and the other hardware platforms are all but dead (Atari and Acorn are gone, Amiga might as well be right now as it's such a friggin' litigation filled mess). It's all OS now. Windows, OS X and Linux all run on Intel x86 processors, after all. In that case, I vote OS X. Windows may be nice for "power users" but I'm not one of those, and Linux, until recently with distros like Ubuntu, has been gobbleygook mess as far as installing stuff, finding drivers, etc. OS X just...works. I'm fine with some folk calling me "under educated" about computers. I don't care. I just want to turn the damn thing on and get to work, and OS X allows me to do that without as much hassle as the other mainsteam OS's. That said...I'd still vote for Amiga if only nostalgic purposes. Video Toaster still has a warm spot in my heart, as did the games. Games, productivity software, creative software, etc. all at a lower price than Macs and with better hardware and zippier than IBM compatibles.
How about an option for both? This thread is pointless anyways, there's no "better" computer. -.-'; Mac interface is better, but PC is easier to use. I use PC for work and internet surfing and (would love to) use Mac for graphic design.
