In those "What games would you want ported" threads, I had put Tyrian. Now it's here =D More recently I put Rogue Squadron. Now LucasArts is here. *Stares in the sky and yells "THANK YOU GOD!!!"*
Oh yeah the pod racing game for the N64 would be sick on the iPhone! I remember playing that game... The tilt controls would be so fun to have for that game. Otherwise an original SW game would be pretty awesome. Most of the other ones wouldn't work too well with the iPhone controls, except maybe battlefront, but that would be pushing the hardware a bit much and probably would lag like crazy on my iPod 1g. They should probably stick to the old adventure games.
Awesome. You can already get Monkey Island on the iPhone if you jailbreak and download the ScummVM app. But it'd be nice to have a version with updated graphics and voice acting.
Yeah, I'd love to see if they could update the graphics on the first 2 to look like the Curse of Monkey Island, which runs with only a bit of slowdown on my iPod 1g. Plus the voice acting will be really good if they get the regular voice actors, especially the one for Guybrush. Otherwise, they'll probably port the one that's going to XBLA. I was kind of hoping that Telltale would also follow and put their new Tales of Monkey Island games along with Sam and Max and Strong Bad. But more than anything I'm hoping for a new Full Throttle game.
Hey speaking of Rebel Assault (which would be awesome)..what about a Jedi Starfighter/Rebel Assault type combo. I would also LOVE to see a BATTLEFRONT game! They could even do a 3rd-person action/adventure game like the Jedi Outcast/Academy games similiar to Hero of Sparta. Even better would be an action/RPG combo!!! and yes, a Podracing game would work well with the accelerometer. I am sure that LucasArts will put out some solid games fom their library of classic titles (Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, etc.) as well as Star Wars of course.
A little frustrating. I'm always beaten when I want to say something. But anyway, the idea for a battlefront would be beastly. And I hope it'd be more free roaming like it's original titles. Brothers In Arms is a great iWar game, but the missions keep you more on an orderly path than in an open battle field.
