    Hey guys.

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on how to get live streaming tv on an ipod. I was considering getting the slingplayer which seems to be the best but I unfortunately dont have a sling box. Do you just need an account to log in because then maybe I could just find someone who would let me use their account. Any other suggestions on how to get the slingplayer app or any other apps. They can be jailbroken too. I would really like to get this to work so I could watch the olympics on the go. I have tried Uplayer but it doesnt offer the greatest selection of US channels. Once again, slingplayer seems to be the best but is there a work around to get it to work without an account? I dont mind paying the 30 for the app, i just dont have a sling box. Ok, thanks for help.

TVUPlayer is pretty good. The one channel I watch the most, The Family Guy Channel, is hardly laggy, but the rest is a little. But it's only a one time $5 fee.

Orb if you have a PC with a tv tuner, don't know if it works for mac yet

If you're main concern is being able to watch live the olympics live I doubt you'll find a decent solution without a slingbox. DTV options for the iPhone/iPod Touch aren't great at the moment, maybe try Orb.

ok. thanks for the suggestions and keep them coming. I might try the iTV. But so far, no one has any ideas on how I could get the slingplayer work on to work?

Only way you'd be able to use slingplayer without a slingbox would be if somebody were nice enough to let you log into their account and that would give you control over their TV. I haven't tried ORB in a while but if it works a usb tv tuner is cheaper then a slingbox and the app is only a buck.

I don't know what the limit is but I'd be more concerned with how you're going to convince someone to give you complete control over their television.

They would have full access and could just change the channel, it's like having an extra remote control.
