Liberals VS Conservatives?

i think ANYONE who is a fanatic of ANY one following is a complete tool.

Democrats don't have all the answers, Republicans don't have all the answers, Liberals don't, Conservatives don't.

As with anything in life, the answer between two arguments is typically always in the middle.

I think the whole point of Democrats and Republicans is to put on a show for the Plebs while in behind the scenes they just find ways to make the 'haves' have more.

I agree above that leaning to far in any one direction can lead to perception problems. However, to say standing in the middle will give the answer is a little blind as well.

We are still living in the middle ages - nothing has changed.

I have lived in the USA,France and Canada for more than 3 years respectively. France and Canada have some Socialist approach to some services. These are great countries to live in. It is great to have health insurance for almost nothing. I imagine most of the people who portray socialism as something bad are just talking out of ignorance. The world is bigger than Texas or the USA.

 

Those protesters make absolutely no sense at all. "Cut taxes not defense"??? Two completely different things Cutting taxes = more money for the gov. , Cutting defense = more money for the gov.

 

It isn't even a matter of left, right or middle, it's about what ideas work best for the country regardless of who suggested them. Ideas have no political bias, and what's good for the country shouldn't either. Factioning politics into parties is just a way to brand a particular collection of ideals as if that makes it more than the sum of its parts -- and the problem is, it has become more than the sum of its parts, and not in a good way. That overriding concept has made liberals into bleeding heart socialists and conservatives into pandering, greedy, warmongering, whiny fundies. That's all people seem to see now without even stopping to think about what they're bitching about actually means.

Where exactly do you think the government gets its money if not through taxation? Cut taxes = less money for the government. More to the point, where do those people think the funding for the military comes from?

It makes me laugh, these wannabe teabaggers. The whole tea party thing (the original one) was a protest against taxation without representation, not taxation in general. The colonies didn't mind being taxed so long as the government represented their interests with the money. The British government, and the British colonies, I might add.

Seriously, voting booths should have signs outside of them that say, "Your IQ must be THIS high to vote."

I completely agree. No matter how wrong as it may sound... why does the moron next to me have the same amount of value to his vote? If I can research and make opinions for myself while he can only spew what others tell him, why should we be even?

If someone is going to the mall to shoot everyone, do you really think they care about gun control laws? You really think they'll get it legally?

Wow. Just wow. I didn't realize school funding was facist. Didn't know that universal health care was facist either. Facism is a form of totalitarian government. The government gets to pretty much curtail everyone's rights correct? Well I think closing down gitmo bay is the OPPOSITE of that. Why did republicans pretty much block that if it's in their agenda?

And yes I'm mad. Mad at people who believe everything they hear.

 

Liberals look to pass constant legislation as a way to gain more government control, something most Americans don't want. Most Americans like self-responsibilty, the option of making their own decisions in life without being burdened by excessive laws and taxes. Liberals want the government to play "big brother" to everyone. Since they know that most Americans don't like it, they try to sneak and force legislation through by packaging unfavorable bills with bills that most strongly approve of in order to get votes. The worst part about it is most of the laws they try to pass are not even based on facts or logic, but more on emotion. Mandatory healthcare? Gun Control? If you look at the real numbers these are things that most Americans don't want, but liberals try to force through. That is what fascist governments do, force new laws through that in effect deny rights to people in relation to their government, take freedoms away. Conservatives are more likely to let things be, let the individual citizens decide. Now don't get me wrong, just because I would side with conservatives over liberals most of the time doesn't mean that I think conservatives are flawless or am 100% conservative.

You ramble on about the gun issue, but everything you said I already said, posted, and know. So are you trying to pretend you're telling me something new? No I don't hunt anymore, only been hunting a few times when younger. I do shoot for sports and enjoy owning guns as a symbol of freedom and possible protection.

Sick and tired of these little boys whining about how they hate guns, when most have never even shot one. Watching the news, TV isn't a reliable source of information, especially with the news being so skewed by politics. Most of the whiners are from liberal controlled districts which have already stripped them of their gun rights. Places like California, (Chicago) Illinois, New York, New Jersey. All liberal controlled states that have gone down the toilet in recent years. Its funny how these states have the most strictest gun laws and still have the highest rate of gun crimes. Washington D.C. where guns have been banned all together for a long time has the highest rate of gun violence in the entire country. Liberal countries like Australia who have already banned them for no good reason only saw what little crime they had go up afterward. Yet U.S. states with the most lenient gun laws have the least amount of gun violence. Its just a fact.

You libs are always talking about what republicans do in foreign regions, I care more about what government does to my own country than the BS that might be going on elsewhere first.
