Some of the prices for the IAPs are disgusting. £99 or £79 I’m not gonna even give them an install RealisticArcadeSimulator, sebgo and anthony78 like this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #5 squarezero, May 29, 2024 It’s really too bad, because it’s probably one of the best versions of this kind of game I’ve played (and there are many). The environments are great, the physics on the fun side, and there are a ton of options, collectibles, etc. Would have love to have seen this as an AA game without the IAPs and timers. What sucks is that a simple, fun game like this can never deliver an experience worth $99, so IAP at that price can’t help but be a ripoff. orangecan, Anotherkellydown, sebgo and 1 other person like this. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #6 orangecan, May 30, 2024 Completely agree I’m having so much fun with this but I just know that the energy timer is going to destroy it for me very quickly. I love a good hill climber game and if they’d priced this as a premium game with no (or even very minor) iap I would have been all over it but the best I’m going to give it is I’m going to try and for as much enjoyment out of it as I can. squarezero and Anotherkellydown like this. Entertaining physics, loads of upgrades, collectibles, great visuals. Well worth €99 of somebody else’s money but I’ll stick with free. Grateful to the whales though. Probably’ll hit a wall, so be it. At level 7, just played 25 mins, enough for me at a time, used 2 bottles of milk out of 10. So energy not an issue like this. (Trust Lego to have milk bottles). Good stuff. tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,083 56 48 #9 tops2, May 31, 2024 I also played a little yesterday and decently fun. I don't usually play these hill racing games so it's a bit fun learning how to control the car. I probably missed it..but don't understand some of the upgrades like what's AWD and balance... I do love le Lego theme here. But noticing as I'm getting older, I have much less patience for grindy games so already deleted...for now... Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #10 Stronsay, May 31, 2024 I’m guessing AWD is All Wheel Drive and balance maybe stabilises horizontal axis, not sure on that one. Impressive as it is, no doubt it’ll get grindy eventually but happy to keep going till I hit a paywall. Will likely have seen enough by then. tops2 likes this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #11 anthony78, May 31, 2024 There’s just way too many good premium games on the App Store for me to bother with grind, ads and energy systems. I value my time too much. The racing/driving is decently fun. But I find all the exploration and finding hidden stuff pretty frustrating. Sometimes it’s feels pretty hard to find the one unlock I need to progress. Guess the energy system kinda helps to keep me from playing too long and getting frustrated. Stronsay likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
