Don't worry you will control more than one hero. The game has the most variety outof any iPhone game I can think of. This is not a repetive game. Wait till u get to frostburn and the valley of the myst! Keep those screens coming!

I'm so excited to see the positive feedback. As one of the devs on this game it has been a great experience and a wonderful group of guys (and gal) to work with. We are super excited to get this game out and let everybody enjoy what has been an long project which ended up being something far more amazing then we had initially planned. Have fun everybody!

Ok, since I was lucky to get the build early ... here is some impressions after I finished the first world (that it is more of a tutorial world actually). This game is quite nice. Most of the gameplay starts from where games like Crystal Wars left. You build your armies by means of gems your miners take form caves and fight off hordes of monsters or destroy their castle, but ....

... you control several types of heros and you can improve the skills and equipment of each, so it has elements of an RPG. you can even upgrade your miners and your castle ....

... you can control each hero on the field or groups, so it has elements of strategy games

... it has stages where you need to run and slash, so it has elements of a running game

... it has stages when you control only one hero with a specific objective and lot of other heros are fighting monsters in the meantime, feels like an adventure game.

Plus art is gorgeous, dialogues are funny at times (in a positive way) and controls works rather well ... and if it gets very crowded at times! Even in the tutorial world!!

All this gives the feeling of being in a story and provide lot of fun. Now, I have four more world to go through .... and I want that unicorn!!!

Hey FPE, I wanted to say congrats on being selected for the beta and I really appreciate the impressions. It definitely helps since I didn't fully get the point of the game from only watching the trailer.

    Similar and different.
This one has a (from what I have seen) three types of gameplay: Castle2Castle, running and adventure-like. The castle2Castle has similarities with BoP, but there are no spells (so far) but each hero has special moves. It moves on three lanes like Crystal Wars, but you retain a control similar more to Command&Conquer (vaguely, very vaguely). And LW has more of an RPG influence than BoP.

All in all they are both excellent games for me, but since I am a RPG lover .. this one appeals me more. Plus the fact that there are stages that are not Castle2Castle makes it fun .... but the magic casting of BoP is something I would have loved here as well (maybe it is there ... in later stages, I do not know now).

Maybe you should thing of this game as a Castle2Castle plus Highborn plus Monster Dash.

Great impressions! Keep them coming. One correction is that crystal wars or battle of puppets do not have different lanes on the field. This is the first of this type to have full contol of units. You can command them to avoid. Defend, retreAt and attack from all sides. This brings much more strTegy and Ai to the gameplay since monsters will hunt you as well.

There are magic specials later on in the game but I dont want to spoil it for you. World 2 is where the game really takes off.

Just FYI there are much more gameplay modes and types.. Glad your enjoying it.
And make sure you upgrade your units to tier 2!

It is a while since I played CW. It must have been another game with three lanes. Anyhow, what is this tier2?!

Maybe this is why I am stuck at level 2.2 thanks to new monster that basically kills all my heroes very easily. It is somewhat frustrating ... See below.

Here's some Tips guys. Make sure you listen to your shopkeeper and hire another miner! You should have 3 by world 2-1.

Another tip: Dwarfy bombs are your friends against vamps.

Tier 2 Legendary armor and weapons can be purchased with moonstones! They make your knight upgrade thier range and other stats and open a brand new banner to upgrade. Plus they look way cooler.

Go under castle upgrade, and look at "legendary armor". One thing is that you have to have your hero fully trained (max upgrade) before you can wear the new weapons and armor.

Hope that helps. And sit tight beta testers, we are working on the bugs.

Today is the last day to apply for testing.
