Slowdown, freezes, villain cards disappearing. And what is the list of strange numbers appearing on the right side? It is rather fun to see how they literally rethemed the game from Marvel Legendary. SharpCarlos Well-Known Member Jan 23, 2010 49 0 6 #3 SharpCarlos, Aug 17, 2017 I think they uploaded the incorrect build to the app store. Those strange number are almost certainly debug data. They've already released an update (it just appeared in the last hour or so for me), and the debug window seems to be gone. Right now, I have one serious problem with the app. Usually, you can long-press on a card to zoom in and see what it does. But for some reason, you can NOT do this at certain critical times. Like, when I have to "KO" a card from my hand, the first card I touch is chosen. This is a big deal, because the cards are shown the way they would be if I was physically holding them: fanned out and overlapping, with only the far right card fully visible. So, I'm trying to choose a card based on what I can glean from a thin sliver of the left side of each card. NOT COOL! Tinsel Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 508 5 18 #4 Tinsel, Aug 17, 2017 I don't have an update available, but I also don't have a debug window. I can't believe this is the right version though. I also have had the villain row disappear, players taking turns on top of each other (the numbers and cards just keep going up), inability to look at cards prior to KOs, my own turn occurring even though another player is selected and their cards still on the board, sound randomly coming on (loudly) then muting, the entire screen going completely blurry (have to kill app to fix), and the tutorial panel coming up (showing the six video tutorials) in the middle of a game! A buggy mess for me so far. This is on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 10.3.3. Isotope-X Active Member Jul 30, 2013 26 0 0 #5 Isotope-X, Aug 18, 2017 The 1.01 update removes the debug information, which is good. I'm running into the problem of being able to take actions during other players' turns; this is against Bots, I haven't tried playing against actual people yet. baelnor Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2012 95 0 0 #6 baelnor, Aug 18, 2017 Last edited: Aug 18, 2017 Deleted, I am the retard Majya Loken Member Dec 14, 2014 21 0 0 #7 Majya Loken, Aug 18, 2017 Agreed. It's a buggy mess. Constant disconnects and if you do disconnect you cant return to a previously running match. This is a critical bug. I bought the base so I could play offline or AI only and without the ability to come back to a game what's the point... Also ill check again but I don't have that update, so the debug is still on the right side. I love deck building games so i hope this gets some much needed updates... cause if it goes the way of some ports where they release and leave as is then yea.. will keep posting to tell people don't buy lol. Ive known about Legendary Marvel in the game stores for ages but never played, i like this set up and mechanics just a shite release for now UPDATE: Ok the update was queued so I just missed it. So while I can't fully endorse the game in its current state, I'm assuming the GenCon sale of unlocking the full version for $1.99 is just this weekend (normally $4.99). Something I found interesting and not obvious at first is that, technically, whether you defeat the Master Villain in the game as a team is largely irrelevant. There are 2 ways to win a match, being the player to strike the final blow vs. the Master Villain, or, if things go wonky and the big baddy successfully carries out his scheme, the game will end instantly granting the win to whomever has the most vps. So since there is always a winning player, even if the boss defeats you all, you might want to consider helping the baddy along with his scheme if you currently have the most vps. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #10 skoptic, Aug 18, 2017 I don’t know much about this one, but the IAP only shows the unlock everything option. Is this a ‘single payment for all cards in current pack’ game in the vein of Ascension, or is it a card pack buying game in the vein of Magic? I might jump if it’s the former! SharpCarlos Well-Known Member Jan 23, 2010 49 0 6 #11 SharpCarlos, Aug 18, 2017 It is NOT a collectible card game. So, yes, it's more Ascension than Magic. Isotope-X Active Member Jul 30, 2013 26 0 0 #12 Isotope-X, Aug 18, 2017 One bug that I've been seeing frequently is hero cards in the city ending up stacked in the same spot. Sometimes one card will be invisible and inaccessible. Often, though, the card artwork will end up being a patchwork of the two different cards in a strange graphical glitch. Also, during other players' turns if an option to reveal a card arises, sometimes the game seem to jump to my turn but freezes after that. Unfortunately this is, so far, a rather shit implementation of a great game. I'm having strong Battlecon vibes here. I've been disconnected in a few bot only games and the match was just lost, even if I immediately logged back in, I had to start a new game. Avaniar Well-Known Member Jul 26, 2016 246 1 18 #18 Avaniar, Aug 19, 2017 Wow That sucks big time. It is a good price point now during gen con. They say it will raise up and be 5 instead of 2... decisions, decisions. Don't know that they will change it for the solo to be playable offline :/ LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #19 LordGek, Aug 19, 2017 I'd be okay with it IF the reason they keep the bot games online is to get detailed statistics from matches played vs. the human players to improve itself...but I doubt it. swai Member Jul 3, 2016 20 0 0 #20 swai, Aug 19, 2017 This is so bitter sweet. There is some base quality there and the ruleset is something I've wished for on mobile ever since I played the boardgame... and you almost can't argue with the current price... but... it's so extremely broken. Cards overlapping, no preview on crucial decisions, server sync issues, some animations way too fast to read whats happening and others unnecessarily slow, bot games bug out if you click anything out of your turn, broken card interactions, constant restarts needed on single-player while the turn timer (on single player!) ticks down, never getting a game though matchmaking, and on and on and on... and yet I don't really regret getting it on sale. Its almost playable if you create a "friend game" and start it with only you in the lobby. Expect a buggy mess with good core rules if you buy it. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
