Tomorrow I'll be waking up early to take a 20 minute trip down to Covent Garden, where the largest Apple Store in the world will open at 10AM. I'm not sure why Apple chose London as the venue, but it works out best for me. Hopefully I'll get there in time for the free t-shirts. Anybody else going? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqlhzve4BOw&feature=player_embedded
Why? Just look at it. I don't think they were specifically looking for a location for "the biggest Apple store" anyway, I figure the property just came up and it happened to be bigger than others.
From the look of the video it seems they're struggling to fill it I'm not really a fan of Apple stores anyway, it's only a store and there's nothing there I can't find within 60 seconds of Google search, except stuff like getting hardware problems sorted out, but that's not exactly fun. The way some people seem to treat going to an Apple store like a holiday is a bit weird.
Why would you need a bigger Apple store to begin with? It's not like there's a plethora of products to sell. There's computers, and then the iPod/iPad line, and a couple racks of software and accessories. You don't need a big store, just something the size of your average American Eagle or Gap.
Probably because the whole world knows the iProducts now... They are some of the highest of their class in the world.... Of course they need to expand their stores and stuff. Things will be sold out in no time. GO APPLE!!
"In this room you can find all the current products, and if you go down the hall, you can purchase the FIRST EVER Macintosh Computer!"
Why is always a free t-shirt? Steve jobs should give away 500 of his turtle-neck jumpers! I'd love to go to the opening but I'm working.
