    Hello, everyone!
    Im new to this business.
I googled tons of articles introducing the marketing of your apps and games. Almost every single piece of them has mentioned the importance of keywords optimization on App Store.

Since I'm not a native english speaker (so forgive my awkward english) am not fluent in english so the keyword part is always a tough job for me.

So can you guys offer me some help on the words selection? I would appreciate it a lot.
    Thank you. :)

Your English is good enough to understand how to latch on to the success of the app called "Project 72" by presumably calling your app " In Project 72 " I think most of us here on this part of the forum support creativity and protect each others "making a living"
so I doubt anyone here will help you! Good luck!

This crap really pisses me off! (some real English)

You are also not new to the business because you always have a hard time with the keywords? At least try to get your story str8t.(s)

My english is crap, yes, but I can totally understand what you mean and that hurts. My signature shows 'In Project 72' simply because I'm hook in this game, that's all!
And I used "always" cuz I've helped my bro with a few apps.
No need to mock me like that, I just want to some help.

Sorry my fault! When a dev places a name below the posting like that it usually refers to their game. I really thought you were publishing a game called " In Project 72 " Sorry for the misunderstanding. My fault! The fact that you didn't post any info regarding your game made it appear to be that "In Project 72'' was the game name. My fault for not asking first.

You are asking for help with the "Keywords" without providing any information on what your game is all about. This really made your request very suspicious. Sorry again.

I was not mentioning the title simply because I didn't wanna make the thread totally pointless like I was advertising or promoting the apps or something.. I guess I just didn't make myself clear. My bad. :p

Anyways,it's killing me when it comes the keywords. Will they enter the phrases or compound word a lot, or they use the colloquial words more than tech terms? It's really giving me a hard time.

    Such a rude reply.
    Very rude and useless.

Just let us know what's your application about, show us the product description and you'll see some of us will help you finding the best keywords.

It's a very simple job. No need to be as rude as that guy.

    Don't get mad, keydoo... :)

You just have to wonder what you'd type on the Google search bar to look for a game like yours (without knowing its name).

For example, good keywords for a game like Need For Speed are: need, speed, cars, challenge, drift, race, tracks, fast, driving,

    What's your game about?

Just one question, the word need and speed already in the game name, so it's ok included them for the keywords? I am not sure about this.
    Thanks.

Well, I think you're right and there's no need to add them, though I had the chance to help some developers and they added the title of the game in the keywords.

You made me realize it's not necessary, since if you write the name of the app on iTunes search, it comes out automatically.

That's a good point: don't waste keywords repeating the name of your game.
If I'm not wrong, the limit is 100 characters. Better to use them in a good way. :)

    Thanks for your help!
I have 2 pilot project coming out, one is to help quit smoking, the other is a random brain challenge game. (not fresh concept,I know,Im not good at it right now. :p)

For the first one, I was thinking: smoking, cigarette, quit, quit smoking
Can't think of others right now, and one question, is the word 'cig' more frenquently used than cigarette? :)

And for the second, for the time being I was thinking maybe: challenge, moron, reflex, brain teaser, test

    You got the point, keydoo.

Unfortunately I'm not a native speaker either, so I'm not that good at improving the keywords you found already.

I believe you don't need to repeat the word "quit" and "smoking" twice.
"quit, stop, smoke, smoking, cigarettes" should be enough for what I know. For sure you can add something more like...cigars? A native speaker would be helpful in this case. :)

    For the brain challenge game:
    challenge,moron,reflex,brain,teaser,test,IQ,questions(?)

I feel you have found some good keywords already.
You could make them slightly better, but it is fine already.
