  1. Oh HELL yes.

I kicked ass at this back in the day. I even still remember the moves. I loved jumping over the opponent then knocking him flat with a roundhouse. Instabuy from me, no question.

Please consider support for point sampling. All the screenshots that have been posted appear very blurry because of bilinear filtering used to stretch the arcade original's 256x256 screen to ipod/iphone resolution. The game's going to look blocky and retro no matter what - I'd rather be able to play it with crisp clean pixelated graphics if at all possible.

I agree with this. My only complain at this point is that things look a bit blurry.

    Awesome!

I can't wait to play this one. The screenshots look great. I hope you kept the dominant power of the roundhouse kick intact.

Looking forward to it! Wasted a lot of quarters on this one.

    We are crazy!

Guys rest assured the fringing on the edges of the characters is already but a distant memory. If the dip switches weren't enough of an indicator we are kinda anal about this stuff lol.

Hard to believe but in many ways remaking an old school 2d game (well) presents more of a challenge or rather lots of different issues than we encounter working on some of todays more sophisticated 3d extravaganzas. Seriously :)

Grasshopper you take photo like you fight - like one-handed girly man!

Apologies for the dodgy photo - just a quick one to reassure those who're asking that Karate Champ is very much alive and kicking and should be out soon!

There's mention of a photo, but no actual photo, now?

    Should've deleted the whole post.

What would you guys think is the right price? Can only confirm we can't afford for it to be free and I don't think you'd like to see adverts and virtual coins (mojo ;)) you put in the virtual machine to play for 99c a game (Nooooooooo!) lol.

If you're asking for my opinion, then I'd say anything between $0.99-$2.99.

On Opera and Firefox, it doesn't show up at all for me. I only see it on IE.

Looks awesome. The sticks look photo-real (at least in this small pic), which is awesome.

About the price, i think 0.99-1.99. Most people think retro games have to be 99 cents. I would pay 2.99 no problem, but i really think i'm in the minority.
