The little vote-for-.99 thing started on the 16th. There's approximately 1200 votes right now, meaning about 300 votes a day. With 9 days left, that means about 2700 more votes will flow in. That means there'll be 3900 votes. Even if this promotion gets more popular and more votes come flowing in, 5000 seems like a very tentative mark to reach.
Yes, but I think it's safe to bank on the fact that very few games can survive on the App Store with a price of $4 (especially within the TD genre). So even if the initial price is not something that you'd want to pay, there will probably be some future price that you will find reasonable.
Oh, my point was actually that they obviously wanted to get the game to a launch day sale of a .99, but the vote requirement they set up was a little bit too high in expectations. EDIT: Damn. No longer looking forward to this game, as it doesn't support 2nd gen.

The bar indicating the price has been stuck at 3.99 for three days now. Surely enough people voted to at least push it to the 2.99 mark?
It looks crisp and colorful. Very nice graphics, I understand graphics are not everything. I would really like to see a solid -gameplay- video. Don't get me wrong, the trailer is genius. Very well made and thought out. It seems such a huge secret. Showing screen shots and all, but I'm sure alot of us would like a real solid gameplay vid. Don't get me wrong, I'm a day one buyer as I've followed this for quite sometime now. I guess I'm just as excited as you guys are.
The increments are increasing for each price. While it took 400 votes only to push the price down from 4.99 to 3.99, you need double that to get from 3.99 to 2.99. 1500 will be needed for 2.99 to get to 1.99, and a whopping 2000 will be needed to move from 1.99 to .99.
