This is like the 3rd awesome looking game I've seen that has been cancelled. I really hope they pick this up again.
Scroll through the thread... aside from a cryptic message from developers in December it's widely expected this is buried never to see the light of day.
This thread exists only for people to repeatedly ask this question... it's like the Sisyphus of iOS gaming.
My opinion I think this isn't dead. 10 minutes ago when i came on here to check whether anything new appeared I was very disappointed and I was 90% sure its dead. I then went onto the official quantum squid website and looked around... Their last update was 14 hours ago. Doesn't tell much as it was about veggie samurai, then I went onto all the different sub-sites, including the "About" tab. On the top right was an image from this WoW game... then i wondered, a year ago or so the video that was released didnt seem half done (the game i mean) people kept asking questions, and then other posters would blame Quantum Squid for making a forum thread when the game is so far away from completion... So I think they simply shut up. Then in december to not loose all their fans they posted the "Back from the dead" I think their still working on this... Their just being really bad people and not telling us about it (honestly guys thats bad) I still have hope for this, especially because it looks like the most amazing thing ever. Just my opinion sue me if you disagree Simply like to keep my hopes up
I have hopes this will be released but there is an awkward silence surrounding this game that makes me feel cynical. ...but if word comes I'll be the first one virtually standing in line.
This look like the best mmo on ipod touch that I ever see... Will it be free? Will it be compatible with ipod touch 2th and 3rd generation 8go? When will it be on the app store?
Tragic. If this reanimated game were to be published into the App Store, it would soon be completely overshadowed by Gamelofts' new game Order & Chaos. If you wish to end this project, may it rest in peace.
Well now that Order & Chaos is out (and doing rather well I might add), I really think that QS missed the boat on having a WOW inspired RPG. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for new iOS games, but the major draw of this game were the similarities it shared with WOW. Gameloft has now "been there and done that," so it's not such a big deal anymore.
