i have an iPhone 4 and never tried it, but guess you can run it better in a 4S at least, maybe better a 5 or an iPad 3
Hmmm. It's 1995, which isn't usually a good sign, but is DOS and a point-and-click (therefore probably low framerate), so I'm leaning towards yes. If you have a few days, though, I'll try it out and report back. I forgot all about that game...
Excitements over. Its strange though as iDos is in that korean store but nowhere else. Aemula Oldies has been around for a few years, last updated June 2012 so its not like they 'suddenly' added support to add your own games. This is the locked down version and hasnt been updated or anything so dont get excited.
iDOS is avaliable in my App Store, same developer as Aemula Oldies, both apps show when I search for iDOS.
Thats strange. I wish that was the case. I search for idos and get 3 items found. One is aemula oldies S by Chaoij Li which i already installed years ago, IDOS which is some strange train app and Heartlight. Switched to the Croatia app store, search for iDos and ARRRGH yep its there ! Saying that its from Jan 2011. So its not a new release, reckon its just been banned in a few countries if a dev or someone complained to Apple ages ago, strange its not been banned worldwide
psj, i've posted before that it's re-available in southamerican stores also, and is the same 2.0.1 version that disappears in 2011... weird!
It's not in the Canadian or American store, Aemula Oldies S is locked down, buf if its not banned worldwide, maybe we can get it from another store by making an account for that country.
Wow, yes this works and there are others too, though the site I used would only install one, so any other installation would override the previous installation. Thank you for te heads up.
Yes, though the saved data doesn't get erased, so if you reinstall the previous application again your games would still be there.
thanks a lot for the tip Silvestris, i've dreamed all this last years having SNES games like Super Star Wars 1-2-3, Addams Family, Mario stuff and many others on my iOS device... and now is time to play'em all!!! got SiOS, better than SNES4iOS, and can say that is one of the best emulators available out there!!! but i have a simple question... how do they work? i don't understand how is possible to install an app through a web site on a not jailbroken device, bypassing the AppStore...
It's done by installing applications from github using macbuildserver http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=193822
Just saw a video of Windows XP running on iDOS You can even run native games from emulated Windows, like emulation inside emulation even though it's incredibly slow
Great find and many thanks to the uaer who posted the emu4ios. But I have a question. How do I get roms onto my iPhone? I saw a popup that something about a file transfer but I accidentally closed it. Any help would be awesome Thanks guys!
Download a program for mac or windows named - iTools. Connect your idevice, Locate the iDOS app, and drop a few files working one of the folders (not sure which one) haven't got to that stage yet. Doing stuff ATM
Right on, Gov. I'll give it a shot. Many thanks! Edit: got it to work by dropping the roms into the root folder on iTools. Thanks again everyone!
