The testplayer (a brand manager from SF??), that is giving us ultra-underdogs a lot of free lessons, mentioned that the correct word for us to have used in the forum title should have been "inspired," and not "type." I don't know if that would have made a difference, but that's why he is a brand manager and I am not. Our mistake. Too bad, I can't change the title. I did submit an edit for the following title that is underneath. Anyway... @dudewelcome, it's all good. Did not expect a lot of traction. It's been in more articles than we feel comfortable with. In all seriousness, we did not expect a lot of people to know what DeS/DaS is. It's not as popular a genre here in Seoul. That's a huge difference I feel on TA, that this is a very large site with a very large global audience. Never underestimate TA or any other site with a global readership. I should have known. I used to post sometimes or lurk here in 2009(?)~2011(?) under a different username/shared account that I made. I feel TA has grown a lot more since then. Again, I can't help but underscore that we are a small independent game development studio, this is our first game as an independent gamedev studio, and it wasn't a stroll in the park getting here. @Nullzone, I really thank you for the warm reply. We are content with the combat mechanics thus far. For all intents and purposes Ire is a POC and WIP that we hope to keep building upon, and we have more instalments planned. Also, our goal is to be as flexible as possible and listen a lot to our users, especially core users, whom have already started a constructive dialogue with us. This must expand more in the open in order to achieve something. As of this moment there really is no organisation to this. If people see promise in Ire, the organisation and community will develop organically. Now to answer Nullzone's question: We did think long and hard, and I asked the devs, "Hey, people don't like network play. Let's kill it. What do you think?" knowing full well the answer. I asked because, hey, why not? People are asking, so for the sake of asking I should ask again. Quick answer to me: MW, me-chut-goo-nah. Umm... Kindly, that's a solid "No." Yes, it is single player PvE, but once you hit level 5 you are able to summon and call companion to arms. You find other users of a similar level range and add them to your Boon (friend) list (max. 30 boons) to summon while playing. Also, once you hit level 10 you will start having player AI invasions. We also have a PvP-AI mode called Atonement. This is where you are able to Salvage other players. We will be introducing reward drops in this mode. These are a few reasons Ire is networked, but it isn't a network game that you can PvP in realtime... yet. We're on holiday until the 5th (Children's Day). I hope to post an update of some more details here on the 6th of a conversation we had had on Twitter. I will try to get that summarised. But if you want to go ahead and see that conversation it is open to the public at http://twitter.com/FeedtheIre. Have a great weekend!
While we are waiting for review, here is an FAQ we have compiled about Ire and Tenbirds. https://plus.google.com/110740025750786241757/posts/2X5qGrBJSwx
The game is slowly being released as the world turns, it looks like. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ire-blood-memory/id981398121?mt=8
