SO is Apple going to ever put there Iphone on the Verizon network? Cause I REALLY want one. Ive also heard of being able to put it on other services. How is that possible, is it legal cause I might do it if Verizon is not going to be getting the Iphone.

If you buy an unlocked iPhone you can take it to t-mobile. Other than that your stuck with AT&T.

If Apple goes with another carrier, I hope they go with Sprint or T-Mobile.

IMO it's not going to happen anytime soon. Verizon is constantly trashing the iPhone with their advertisements, plus Verizon uses a different standard than the iPhone supports.

You can jailbreak + unlock an iPhone but it still wouldn't be able to work with Verizon... I think it would only work with T-Mobile in the US other than ATT.

    ATT, T-Mobile- GSM
    Verizon, Srpint- CDMA

    FOR NOW -
I'm pretty sure the next iPhone will support LTE which verizon/att and the rest of the world will switch to by 2015.

Apple actually bought 10million CDMA iphones, which is the network that Verizon and Sprint run on, however there is an ad agency that is working on iphone ads for verizon, we may see the verizon iphone as early as this fall or as late as next spring.

Impossible! You can't fit a CDMA chipset in the ultra-thing Iphone 4.

So the article says, but we've been let down before. The comment at the bottom of it is interesting, though. I might wait until September and stick with my LG Dare for a little while longer. I'm not exactly warming up to the idea of a Droid or Palm Pre after seeing the iPhone 4.

Verizon's prepping their new LTE network, which would be preferable to both them and Apple.

You are absolutely right, but did you need to be so harsh? His comment was perfectly reasonable, even if partially wrong.

It just seemed like he was being a troll. So, I gave him a troll response. I bet he knew this all the time.

Fair enough! To change the subject a little and not to piss off Verizon fans out there but I find it remarkable that big red went after both AT&T and Apple and folks expected Apple to snuggle up just to push more iPhone out the door? Steve is a genius and GSM was the right technology to launch on.

    "There's a map for that"

You don't think that's an indirect cheap-shot at Apple? Read between the lines you fuhking dummy.

The iPhone is not the only smart phone there is on AT&T's sale. Making a rival ad slogan becomes making fun of something?

Oh I see. So they're making fun of ATT's whole lineup... What other smart phone manufacturers have a phrase that rhymes with "there's a map for that"? What else would they be directly targeting? The other smart phones don't warrant an ad campaign.

Like I said read between the lines. If I was running things at Apple those commercials would not make me happy. Plus they are making fun of what is probably Apple's single biggest partner. It doesn't necessarily mean it will get in the way of business but I doubt it's helping their chances.
