Hey guys and gals, I was painting my new house my wife and I purchased last month. I was listening to Pandora and all of a sudden my iphone stopped playing music. At first I figured the app crashed, but after starting up pandora again no music came from my speakers. Plus I can't hear my phone ring if someone is calling me or cannot put the phone on speaker phone, as I won't be able to hear the other person and they can't hear me. The only way the phone works is with the headset or headphones. Did my speaker blowout or something? I've tried the plug and unplug the headphones countless number of times, but still nothing. I can listen to music and everything through the headphones. Has anyone on the forums experienced this issue and how did you solve? I really don't want to upgrade so early, but I have a friend that works for At&t and would let me upgrade to 3gs without the $200.00 early upgrade fee. The phone is also 2 month out of warranty so Apple wouldn't help when I stopped at the store yesterday. Thanks, radchad1
This may be a stupid question, so please forgive me if it is, but have you tried rebooting your iPhone? This solved several sound problems mentioned in the forum before.
Not only did I reboot the phone and all the settings at one point I even did a full restore to the phone. Maybe I'm just sol and should upgrade to the 3gs. This time get the apple care on the phone.
Well if restore didnt work then there`s nothing much which could be done. Get a new 3GS and give away the old one to your kid/s(assuming you have one) He`s using the iPhone for over a year. I doubt he doesnt know that already.
