okay for us its a must buy but we are the core idevice gamers but you want to take the causal audience. first, even though it may hurt you it will help you in the long run, is to make a 99c introductory price to get it out there and noticed as the first day sale is very important. Maybe after making a 2 day sale or even a week bring it up to regular price. I suggest 2.99 as that is the standard regular price. The reason for that is the casual audience feels that that is the standard as such great games such as spider and samurai are 2.99. You can go ahead and make it higher but you may lose a chunk of customers interested. I personally feel all games should have higher prices but the way things are in the appstore economy is you won't survive with high prices unless it is the best or published by a respected publisher such as chillingo. just my 2 cents
btw please show all your reviewers and beta testers your icon and screenshots as they are very important in sales. As however good it may be a ugly icon and unexplained screenshots could kill a lot of sales

Concerning pricing - there are several good threads in the developers forum Thread 1 Thread 2 Thread 3 Thread 4 These are threads that have to do with selling, pricing, promoting, etc. I don't develop, but I still found them all interesting reading. They might help answer questions you might have.. Good luck, and I will look forward to seeing your game in the near future I hope!
yup, very helpful. thanks! i've read them thoroughly all the threads you mentioned. sharks' treasure one was the more impressive and the app is on going with 1.2 version just out! i can't wait till iPharaoh is ready for sale
