5 new character will not add any depth to the gameplay and i doubt a grenade launcher, day/night cycle or any other new "features" in this update will. Still worth the buck but not as great as many say. Feels like a missed opportunity.

Are you a tester? I THINK NOT. Have you played the update? I THINK NOT.

Sure, 5 new characters doesn't actually change the gameplay, it just offers customization, and choice. But everything else adds plenty of depth.

The current version is a little bit repetitive, yes, but the Christmas updated (submitted) is almost like whole new game. Tons of characters to unlock, a new weapon, a new monster, and countless gameplay enhancements (night mode, weapon leveling, beast mode leveling, etc.) All of this adds so much variation and depth to the gameplay. If you were even considering buying Minigore before, I think it will be a must-have when the update hits.

EDIT: I am a beta tester, so I'm not just going by screenshots and speculation. I've played the update and love it.

Mmm, if only Apple hadn't taken so long to release Episode 2, there wouldn't be so much hate for this game.

Aside from customization and choice, the new characters give you something to work towards other high scores. Some can be unlocked in just a few games, while others take a lot of time and patience.

I think a lot of that hate will dissipate when this update is released.

Looks good! I think I'll pick it up before the next update, so I can appreciate it on its own for a bit, then when the update comes, I can see how big it actually is. (no homo?) ;)
