haha. I had praised it too. Hopefully, this game will make livefire unnecessary (who needs to pay .99 cents for a rocket launcher?).
Yeah, I agree. Paying for weapons in a game, when they should just be unlocked or bought using virtual credits or points, is a total scam. Also after the 3.0 update, developers can make make their updates paid, not free. I think this is just apple being greedy. They are making enough money as it is, and so are the developers. If people are constantly having to pay for stupid in-game purchases then I think they will get annoyed and revolt. If there is a angry mob formed, count me in. That's if I wasn't the one that formed the angry mob
OMG and I quote again: NGmoco announced that the LiveFire buy-in-game thing was only a tech demo for the SDK presentation.
........yes it was a 'tech demo' for the 3.0 presentation but what makes you think they aren't going to include the in-game purchase feature in their final release?
lol....their twitter. Here is an exact quote from their Twitter: "You will earn credits as you play - so you'll be able to use those as well to unlock things - pricing is just for demo purposes." But, they ARE using th in-game purchase feature. Thankfully, they said that was going to be used for maps and updates...not weapons.
Its going to be $4. Read the reply from them on page 2 of this Thread. They said they submitted it at $3.99
i still think that this price point is too high (and I cant wait for a game like this - check my sig) full fps controls still havent been done perfectly yet on the iphone - wolfenstein came the closest but doesnt have up/down movement. add this to the fact that i cant think of any multiplayer games that work great when youre playing at the same time (all the best ones are turn based) and i think the dev has a real challenge on his hands. ill be picking it up either after reviews saying if the dev has cracked the problems others have faced or after a serious price drop
Ah, ok. I don't use Twitter, so i wouldn't know. Even so, paying for maps and updates is still wrong. I don't mind paying $0.99 or $20, as long as all there is, is included in the game. Also updates should be free. I think the price of apps should go up, but there should be no in-game purchases or paid updates. Greedy old Apple
+1 so true. I agree with you. I'll be picking up LiveFire Most Likely Possibly this app. Just all depends.
$4 too high? Think about it, the ONLY online FPS, great controls, great graphics, and alot of work. $4 is nothing. Besides, I garuntee LiveFire's going to be like $15 when it releases knowing how cheap ngmoco is....
or like $10 + $1 a map or something. i agree - online play, better controls than livefire, definitely worth $4 easily.
lol, did you read what I wrote? I don't mind paying $0.99 or $20, as long as everything in the game, is available (without paying extra) in the game. I think games on the app store are priced too low. Some of them meet the quality of console games which cost like $35. I said that I don't mind paying console game prices if the games are console quality and include everything in the game without paying extra money for weapons, maps etc.
Available now Appstore says its ready for sale. Hopefully it goes up tonight. Let us know what you think, we plan on updating the app, so your feedback is appreciated.
