Not sure if a thread has already been posted, but MacRumors posted a story about a 3D head tracking program that supposedly simulates three dimensional scenes for the iPad 2, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4g. Its available on the appstore now. Doesn't work as well as I thought it might, I don't see any huge advantages over just using the gyroscope. It looked really good done with the Wii though, this one doesn't seem to account for how close you are while that one made the images bigger the closer you got.
Count me in as another person that is unimpressed so far. But maybe I just don't have fair enough lighting or something. That video they put up as an example seemed to work flawlessly and my experience has been quite a bit less than flawless I will give it the benefit of the doubt and say, "I just don't understand the proper way to utilize it." Great concept but not the most fantastic thing in a practical sense thus far.
