Even if it were perfectly legal, it would be a horrible idea to take their name. I think it's crazy that Apple allows you name your app "Bloons!", but nobody can use the word "bloons" as one of their keywords
No, I think we read the post just fine. Everyone is telling you not to consider it at all, even as a last resort. The amount of negative backlash that you will get will render all your work on your game useless as almost nobody will buy it. I think from the amount of negative feedback you've seen here already you won't do it.
So your game is a casual FPS that involves balloons? Sounds interesting - I'll definitely pick it up. How about Balloon Fire for a name?
