Playin' around on my iPad I wondered what would happen if I pressed the home button lots while I was scrolling through the pages, and I made a remarkable discovery... the iPad queued up presses so that when I let go, it would sort of 'spaz out' and continuously switch between the search window and my home page. I decided to take it one step further and press the home button like 100 times. Needless to say, the software crashed, the iPad froze up and I needed to restore. No I'm not jailbroken. Bit of an oversight by Apple don't you think? If you want to try it yourself, start scrolling through home pages, keep your finger on the screen so you're still technically scrolling, and press the home button about ten times before removing your finger from the screen.
Uh... Why? I got one imported to Australia about a month and a half ago, I can send you a photo if you want
The reason I don't believe you is cause I rather you be a total liar than an absolute moron to purposly try to glitch software on a product with a base price of $500 usd. Unless you were conducting some kind of durability test for let's say...statisitical reason or for feedback to people (which you didn't state, all you said was you were board) so I feel better telling myself that your just fibbing cause it's less painful than believing that your that dumb. Excuse the typos
...Or maybe the reason you feel better about yourself is because you're finding reasons to make fun of iPad owners to justify you not having one yet. And it's not necessarily "dumb" to glitch your software. Kinda like a stress test. He knew that he had a restore to fall back on. You're not going to completely render the device useless by simply screwing with the software/firmware. Just sayin'.
