This feature is nice, but the folder icon looks ugly as sin, and destroys the beauty of my other icons.
Can I put folders in the dock? I would imagine that is allowed but I'm asking anyway as I wait for the update to install.
I think you misunderstood, I asked how will you categorise these apps because you obviously can't fit them into one folder.
I was thinking the same thing. This, combined with the fact you can only have 12 apps per folder is what's keeping me on 3.X with jailbreak and CategoriesSB installed. I dunno what the JB situation is on iOS4 right now but as soon as it's all good and I can be bothered I'll upgrade and do the folders my way.
For me itll basically go: -RPGs -Shooters -2D games (like Superfall, Ragdoll Blaster) -My puzzle games -All of Apple's crap that nobody wants to look at -Utilities
I'm coming up with some pretty weird categorizations, they at least make sense to me: Jumpers (Doodle Jump, Mega Jump, etc.) Fallers (Super Fall, Primate Plunge, Doodle Dive, etc.) Swappers (Bejeweled, Fruitx, etc.) Loopers (Upsi Looper, Glow, Bella Boo, etc.) What is a cool name for "Line-Drawers" that is shorter and catchier?
Since I have way too many of these I think I'll go the route of a certain film with categories of "Trains", "Planes", and "Automobiles" (and "Boats" which might have been in the sequel's title).
Feel free to use them if you want. Once you have all of your folders arranged, would you mind listing all of the names or post some pics of you pages? I may steal a few folder names!
Will do. It isn't hard to think of thematically appropriate groupings but, to me, the tough part is finding just the right level of distinction to logically group your games in as close to 12 games as possible. A category that covers 30 is as useless as one that only relates to 3.
I'm struggling with catorgizing some games, but, heck, I'm just finally glad to be able see all my apps!! Those "hidden" pages were really annoying.
So much better than merely trying to group like apps together and then having the next sync randomly scramble all of my hard fought sorting!
