How schedule designer and soundman work

    I'm trying to shedule developing for my first game. I'll hire designer, developer and soundman. I don't know yet how to plan their work. Is the first step to make graphics or start developing ? How do you handle this tasks? I'm a little bit confused.

    Hi, I would recommend you to make as detailed description of the game and required work as possible. Try to write complex Game Design Document and define what your contractors outputs should be. Then open a discussion with all members involved and if they are skilled they will tell you approximate times. Always add 50% to their estimates because NEVER EVER things go as planned.

    Yes I know that almost always things go in wrong direction and they need more time. But if you start working with them do you begin with graphic assets or programming ?
