Sync your iPod Touch to transfer purchases from your iPod to iTunes.
Restore your iPod Touch to restore it to factory settings/delete everything.

You can download everything you did before for free (if it's still in the app store ;))

I've had this happen a few times - make sure all the apps you have on your iPod/iPhone are in your Applications library, and/or right-click on your device and "transfer purchases" before you sync.

Every once in a while I see a slew of "deleting ZZZZZ" and rush to abort the sync. Sometimes syncing with two computers is not such a good idea...

if its not from iTunes, you can say bye bye to it. apple decided to be douchebags, and not allow ipod to computer syning, which is bull

Or you can connect iPod to your computer without opening iTunes and copy stuff to the computer first, then add it again to your library...although this won't work for the touch. UNless you use SSH or something if you're jailbroken, which could take quite a while

When I delete stuff I always put it onto another hard drive...
