We don't currently have a lite version planned, but we aren't completely discounting the idea, either. Yep, there will be a bunch of us playing multiplayer, and I'm sure it won't be tough to find even more opponents, say through a forum such as this one. :] Playthrough time really depends on your gaming style, but I'd say 10 hours is a safe bet.
Looks like a great game, and $2.99 is definitely an amazing price. The 2D characters remind me a lot of table top figures, which I like.
Is tht going to be Real-time? Or like uniwar with Push notifications or even bettr? (Gettin a lot greedy here ) Are there many cons. to a lite version than pros. tht most of the devs. are churning out much aftr the full version is out? Look @ Jelly car! the 1st one was free, when the 2nd one came out, it stayed there in the top 10 for decent amount of time
It's asynchronous (take your turn, submit, wait for opponent to take their turn), so you can have multiple games going at once. It's mostly an issue of time and resources required to make a lite version... Jet Set isn't a large studio, so our biggest focus has been completing a quality game first. :]
~> like uniwar, KhweeeL ~> Gameloft is a big one, but even they come out with lite much later... I think they want the game to be bought by PpL who cannot be on the fence for a long time... For PpL like me who wait for the lite before they take the plunge, the lite is @least released to allow us to taste ze sweetness & test it too
GAH! The wait is killing me slow and painful... Its like being cheese grated to death... With a rusty cheese grater...
Ah thank god! That cheese grater almost finished me off lol. But now my issue is now I am so friggin excited right now it feels like my head is about to explode...
Yeah Sqrudy, it does. You can play against other iPhone players online and even against PC users on Facebook, if im not mistaken (the game is cross-platform and has its own Facebook version).
