I think I am going to limit myself to $40 a month, with only $10 a week allowance, and if I dont use the entire $10 I will move the remaining few dollars to my savings account. This way I can still purchase apps each month, but my purchases will have to matter. Btw, I bought Paste Bot today. Idk when I will ever use it, or why I would use it. But I bought it. This is my problem.
Go to Buy iTunes cards in the top right of the iTunes Store Home page, and then scroll down to allowances. And yes, you get to feel like a 5 year old doing it, for better or for worse.
It's here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/group.php?groupid=2 What's with the shit sig? Edit: ohit'sgonenow.
This happens to me too haha. I just signed up for my PNC Virtual Wallet account now (I got the app too of course ). Its really nice. I am going to start alloting some money to my savings account each month. Just stuck $25 in there. Not much but its something. Btw, Asphalt 5 is on sale for .99, just saying...
I got a little carried away myself. Now that Canadians can use gift cards to purchase apps I don't have to rely on my credit card. Before I could just go to the App Store spot something that interested me and bam $25 dollars later I have a handful of games I probably will only play once or twice. Now I can just buy a gift card and give myself an allowance. Once it is all spent I will need to wait for the next month. If you have a credit card on your account you can build up a huge debt if you don't take caution. Especially if you have a really high limit like the card on my account with $30,000. Of course I would never let it get that high.
****. I just bought Beejived. I forgot I was trying to save money. I think from now on I am just not entering the app store anymore except on Thrusdays to see what new apps are.
